Club finally release kit pictures

The club have finally released the official pics. We have seen good quality shots of the home kit but not the away until today:

It looks better than it did in the leaked pictures but I'm still not sure about it.

Anyhow this is the best bit about the press release:

We conducted important research earlier this year regarding replica kits and these new designs have been a result of feedback from our supporters and input from the players.

This is an interesting comment - on Glory Glory, From the Lane and on here we can see that 90% aren't too keen. I'm not sure who they asked but they were probably blind and supported Arsenal - maybe a bit harsh as the home one has grown on me but it does not follow the Spurs tradition and most supporters are definitely not keen on the all blue sleeves and side panels.

Anyhow, its the team, not the kit that counts.

COYS!

i personally like the home kit but the away ones are rank although the yellow one this seaon has improved on last years one! the home kit is different and i like it! theres only so much u can do with a white kit and i think everyone will agree that kappa arent the best when it comes to kits and the can only go so far! i think everyone would agree that adidas would be the best kit maker! hopefully if we do well this season they will come on board since our main rivals are made by their main rivals! ill be buying the home kit but neither of the aways!

We are meant to be the Lily Whites but it looks like a Fulham kit the blue its like Leeds away of a few seasons ago but if it keeps Robinson and Lennon happy good luck. The most important thing is that we sell Kanoute and get a half decent striker that will want to play for the team rather than his ego.

The home kit is an woolwich sqauters style shirt. Why change from our traditional style. The away kit is OK but not Tottenham blue. Who did Spurs ask?

The problem is Krappa. When you have a decent shirt like the addidas one eveyone wants to buy it not just the die hards.

Hasn't anybody else noticed that our new away kit has almost exactly the same colours as our very own stadium for several years now - i.e. the blue seats and yellow gangways?? Take a look at the last page of the new catalogue to see what I mean. And I don't think anybody has ever really complained about the main colours of that very large thing in which all our home games are played!
Yes of course, it certainly sounds like this was more by luck than judgement. But had they promoted it as some kind of "WHL Tribute Kit" instead, then maybe people would have a whole different perspective on it than the adverse reactions so far?
I'm not saying that I love it. Just thought this was an interesting way of looking at it, after this fact had suddenly dawned on me.

what the hell is wrong with Kappa shirts? They're gorgeous kits, the figure hugging stuff is awesome, i love it, they've been my favourite kit in ages, far better than the outdated Adidas rubbish.

Perhaps too much blue on the sleeves, and the away kit is a bit crap, but come on! how good do footballers look in Kappa shirts, very. And I'm a bloke. Lasses must love it!

we have red on our crest so enough with the anti red stuff! this is kappas last year they had to do something to piss of the spurs fans cause thats what seems to be the focus of our debates! what does any1 think of davids on a free, veron as compo for arneson, saviola as replacement for keane de ridder on loan and SWP for 10 mill plus keano, gardner and brown? city need players so im sure they'd be tempted!

You guys are lame. ITS NOT A BAD KIT. How can a kit be bad. ITS BLOODY WHITE WITH BLUE SLEEVES THAT IS IT!!!!. What can go wrong. Fair enough maybe some wnated different colours but it does the job.

As for the people who hate the Thompson logo, I think it is a much better logo than other corp logo's to be honest. I don't give a shit about the red either, I reckon red and white go together pretty well.

PS. We need Kanoute, even though he is lazy, he is the only one that needs a defender with strength to keep him at bay. Kanoute is an unsung hero as far as i am concerned

I've read nearly all the blogs re: the new kit. I've also supported spurs for as long as i can remember. We as a collective contrive to support our team, so my first point is to support the team! Of course we shouldn't be led, blindly, into a new yid era under the mighty MJ, but we are not blind. We are passionate, loyal and dedicated to everything Tottenham. The kit,(to get beck to the point) is only for a season. It is more about business relations with Thomson, and Kappa than trying to please every fans whim (and we are wide reaching across the globe with seperate needs and demands!) My opinion is, that if you despise the Fulham-esque shite that I've seen for the last week masquerade itelf as a first team, european contending, pride of North London Tottenham shirt, then so be it. Don't buy it. I certainly wont be. I'm not mentioning the away kit because it succeeds in bringing the bile from back of my throat to the tip of my tongue, but it does, as was mentioned in an earlier post on this site, represent the colour scheme of the stadium. To conclude, We are about to enter the most eagerly anticipated season for along while, Europe beckons, our youngsters are coming of age, the arse are dressed as fairies in maroon. We must not forget, if in 11 months time, european football is a reality, we'll all be rushing to buy the shirt that our heroes performed miracles whilst wearing. COYS

On our club's website says:

"We conducted important research earlier this year regarding replica kits and these new designs have been a result of feedback from our supporters and input from the players."

Do anyone recall being consulted about the kits? I certainly don't!

I also think weve been mugged by Krappa - too much blue in the sleves!!! Cheap looking tee shirt, which make us all look like a bunch of wankers. Its pretty boy stuff, which looks namby
pamby!!!

What we really need are kits which portray and image to other teams that we mean business - Real Madrid never have this load of old bollocks with their kits,so why should we?

It's also an absolute wind up joke on all of us by Krappa - I believe they have produced a kit which looks too much like a fulham kit.
Good ridance to them after the end of next season. Hopefully we'll then get our "lilly white" kit back!!

Andy Johnson! Nuff Said! COYS!!! just to add to debate, I like the home kit. Away will grow on me, as do most of the new kits. When you see a Defoe hat-trick, away at highbury, in the arse's last season, then tell me you hate the away shirt ;o)

What's the kit King is wearing in the photos?
That looks more like an away kit to me

I like them anyway. Kappa make a good shirt as far as I'm concerned. They've been better than the previous kit makers by a long shot.

I personally LIKE the home kit...come on.. we need to build a new image, starting from the kit is a good start. I believe that focus must be put on the players not the kit! Tradition is also important...yet there is white..and the blue is our second colour....SO WHAT THE HECK IS BAD???

The second and third kits are crap! The second seems to be leeds shit and the yellow kit seems to be a Beatles shirt which is being sold in a concert! ...Come on!

AND NO RED PLEASE! ...our blood is blue!

Come on fellas, enough about the fashion stakes, the new kit aint changing no matter how much people whinge(as long as we don't play like Wimbledon away from home I don't care).
How about some good debate about the signings. If we're signing attackers are they better than we've already got? If yes, let's get shot(Freddie?)for a few quid and let's move on.

If big Martin can keep 'em all happy I think we're in for a good season, It's the best feeling I've had for many a year.

Nag nag nag, I thought I left my wife at home. Who cares what the kit looks like? It's white isn't it? I've seen worse. They won't all be as good as Umbro '91 or Adidas '00 It's better than Pony ever managed. The yellow one is better than 92/93 Jason Cundy aka Pedro Mendes. And so what if the Leeds away kit breaks tradition, it didn't bother the cheating song theives from Manchester when they had blue and white, green and yellow and worst of all black. They still got their name on a few Cups. We're gonna have the best season we've had for 15 years because, at last, we have a decent manager. Shouldn't we all be pleased about that? Support your team. You moaners are turning into grizzling Gooners and their kit really is a shocker. Come on you SPURS!

i think that the home shirt is pretty nice, the away is absolutely shockin' and te 3rd shirt is growing on me, its certainly betta than the away. Next Season thets get Umbro from Chelsea as they're getting Adidas. I want sum good shirts not gay "look at my tits" skin tight stuff!!

Dont like the home shirt at all,
spurs home shirt should be white, maybe a bit of blue trim but not big blue sleeves and sides.
it looks like a blue shirt with a white bib.
last seasons shirt was better by miles

i like the kits, the away is shit though, i prefer the 3rd strip thats yellow. Anyways, only kappa for 1 more season then my dads mate whos a director at spurs told my dad that there working on a deal with nike! as nike now only have a few clubs left since losing leeds and sunderland etc. they see spurs as a prime target to keep up competition with adidas. i know they make the arse's kit but i think nike would be quality. And to all those who hate the red on the shirt- WHO CARES!!! as long as the sponsers paying the money then we get a bigger transfer budget to make a better team which is all that matters at the end of the day really!

well, the best kit we have was the one made by umbro with advertising sponsors "Holsten", the first season Juergen Klinsmann played at our club. And I still prefer our away kit which was in dark prussian blue colour. The new away kit reminds me of Wimbledon :P

Can't be - nine times out of ten we start away, usually somewhere in Birmingham, and we had a home start last season. Certainly not somewhere we can actually walkor, considering the opposition, run like buggery to get away from.
