Even with the injuries etc this is still a strong Spurs line up. If Zokora and Hudd can boss the midfield it will allow Malbranque to expose the Newcastle back four which, to be honest, has never been a strong point for the Geordies. I hope Berbatov can make a nuisance of himself as well as his runs will be important in creating chances for Defoe and the midfield.

Agree with Len. Watched it at the pub. Was that really spurs. After the poor stuff v Southend I thought we would get it right against a poor Toon,

looking back over the first half of the season, only 1 result stands out - chelsea at home.
with so much money having being spent, this is clearly not good enough.
we should be winning week in week out against all clubs, not just relegation fodder and 2nd rate carling cup and uefa teams.
big wins against the likes of bruges, mk dons, charlton etc although welcome, are misleading.
end of first half of season report = must do much better. we are severely underperforming and things need to be sorted out.
jol will not be sacked or resign in the immediate future, and although hes a likeable character, you start to wonder if he really is the right man for the job. i am desperate for him to prove me wrong.
i really am not sure where the problem lies, because there is a problem, but it needs sorting out sharpish. it was only because of other teams results we stay 7th.
no more excuses please spurs, just start performing.
