Spurs Punished.

The worst performance by Spurs this season saw West Ham deservedly take a point back to east London. Mido set us on our way before Ferdinand equalised at the death. The West Ham faithful went mad, showing how much more this fixture means to them than it does to us, in London rivalry terms anyhow.

Spurs were better in both halves but there was not much in it. The midfield never really got going and the defending was shocking. How it has gone from so good to so bad in two weeks is beyond me and needs to be rectified ASAP. The inability to hold the ball up and use it wisely also cost us. Davids was keeping the ball well in the corner when Mido dived and gave away possession. A minute or so later we broke and should have gone right towards the corner again. Instead Defoe, the most offside player in the Premiership, was, you guessed it caught offside, and West Ham then won a corner. The ball was soon settling in the back of our net. Well done.

So a crap game with a crap score line. Will the inability to beat the promoted teams again come to haunt us come May? Wigan next.

yep, totally agree with that. by far the worst performance i've seen all season. the dissappointing thing is is that we already played the top four teams (man u, chelsea, arsenal and liverpool) won none of them and now were not beating teams that we should be beating!!

we need three points up at wigan cos nothing else will do for me and most spurs regardless of how well wigan r doing at the moment.

im very dissapointed with that below par mediocre play 2day! absolute crap!! and there shit!!!

defoe should have started........all the games robbie has started he has been rubbish!

lets start winning again or we can forget europe!

For fucks sake..
after all the promise we starting to slip into "same old spurs" mode once again.
We always play well against the good teams but always fuck up and against the shit. When will we learn to finish teams properly. I really thought we would punish west ham today after lsing to bolton.
C'mon lad quit the bollox big pretenders tag and start showing people what you can do

I know most people are going to hate this but its just the same old spurs, same results different year. We will finish just outside the european spots, we will outplay teams only to lose or get a draw. champions league, yes right. The only way spurs will climb out of this is by buying a world class forward to partner defoe, mido isnt the answer and raisak isnt fit to lace midos boots let alone push him for a starting spot. IM SO SICK OF THIS BOLLOX EVERY FUCKING YEAR.

back are the good old days, get an early lead, think we're good enough to hold on for 40 minutes, we need to be killing off sides like this week in week out.
west ham are a championship side at best, and we made hard work of them.
final third play need refining.
the next 5 games are absolutely crucial to our whole season!

play amazing against the good teams and get a draw, crap against the shit teams and get a draw, whats changed guys?
there is no forthcoming revolution at the lane, just more of the same blindness faith, i hope im proven wrong, but we really are destined for a mid-table finish!
europe seemed a possibility, but can u really see us getting there if we cant beat the likes of west ham?
seems like every team we play we have a bad record against, chelsea-10 years no win (in the league) bolton, any london derby!
dont think its coincidence, we're just not good enough yet, if we can keep hold of our best players for 3 or 4 years, then yes, we will have a great side. but at the moment.
just not good enough!

HA HA HA HA! Gutted you yid c*nts. Champions League? We will be there before you. Same old spurs and same old spurs fans. How long will it be before you call for the head of Jol even though he is the best manager you have had in years. You really are a bunch of stuck up tossers. Look forward to doing you at the Boleyn.

same old spurs believing the same old early season hype and bullshit.

as usual you think you are better than you are based on a media hyped notion that a nucleus of young england hopefulls are gonna make you special. media favourite robinsion has now cocked up in 4 games on the trot and you still think he is the best in england. a miss hit shot by teddy had you all blabbering about a wonder save and after an early spurt of huff and puff you gradually sunk to your usual mediocre level. you are no better than average and miles away challenging cheelsea or the super guns .

4 games = 3 points 3 goals no wins and not much hope. lets see how you cope with wigan ..

"west ham are a championship side at best"

Try telling that to Blackburn, Newcastle, Villa, Arsenal, Middlesborough, Fulham and West Brom, who, like yourselves have all failed to take 3 points off a championship side.

If you lot are Europe material, how come we currently lie 2 points behind you with a game in hand?

Take your heads out of your arses for a minute and look at the big picture. You have only finished above us twice in the premiership. You are just a mid table premiership side. You'll stay that way for a few more years yet. You've a long way to go before you're a Europe side.

I hope you lot manage to get as much enjoyment out of this season as we are. Somehow I doubt it though.

You thick yids from the lane are dreaming,, just coz you think and ae believing all the hype in the press that the current bunch of 'home grown english talent' that you have will get you into the champs league...... leave it out, that little mini judas defore has scored jus 3 goals in 20 odd games ! even couch is ahead of him in the england order.... and he'll be lucky if he goes to germany

I never used to give a toss about West Ham, but after that lot last night, and the wankers who have been gleefully celebrating a DRAW on another teams website - get your own, you losers - I have degraded you to the utter cunt status you deserve.
You're a shite two-bob team, who fluked a point at the end of a game and you'll soon go back to the second division where you deserve. So, now, fuck off.

Champions' league is still some way away... A point to note is Spurs have had the most numbers of draws so far in the league - 6. We are not getting the wins we want but in another way, we are not losing many either. No doubt, I was disappointed with the result. Just hope the mediocre spurs won't come back and haunt us.

Keane played well but looked slightly out of pace later in the game. His connection with the overhead kick was sublime, only denied by Hislop with a lucky raised arm. There was also a moment where he could have run free from the defender in a quick counter. By his usual standards, he should have done that. Probably it's a slight lack of match fitness caught him.

I thought Jol should have replaced a couple of players who looked tired late in the 2nd half, namely Mido and Davids. Kelly could have come on to add more pace in defence area since Stelteri is supposed to be able to play in midfield as well. Probably they may be able to hold the ball better. Jenas had an ok game. He had 2 open shots wide. First I thought he did well to intercept the ball from Konchesky but his attempt to chip over Hislop was below par for his standards. Not to mention his last attempt at goal, which seemed one of the easiest attempt for the match. He needs to brush up his shooting skills. To me, that caused us the points. The rest (by others) were really half chances.

The irony that the link to this site was posted by one of many yids that started posting on WHU websites during the past week is not lost on me.

We deserved this bad fortune... Jol is the culprit though. He should've made the changes just after 60 mins when it started to show how the game would go on.

We've got wingers for our right hand side, but we deperatley need a left hang winger! Playing Davids there is just shit. He's a central midfielder, not a winger! And if Faty Reid is not good enough for Jol to play him (as it seems), call back Ziegler and buy a world class left hand winger, like Sneijder (Ajax) or Simao Sabrosa (Benfica). And if there's enough money, we need a world class atacking midfielder, like D'Alessandro or Rosicky. They could score the midfield goals that Jol wants...!
