Kelly off to West Ham?

There are now big rumors all over the message boards that Kelly is going to West Ham. He is not happy at having lost his place in the team to Stalteri but with Jol using him for his experience and his improving performances opportunities at Spurs now seem limited for Kelly. As his contract expires in the summer it is likely to be a knock down fee as well.

While I rate Kelly over Stalteri i can see why Jol has the Canadian playing. Experience is something we are still a little short off and it is something Paul brings to the back four. Also we have Phil Ifil in the wings, someone who will be better than Kelly long term.

COYS!

Yeah, loaning him would be best. I think he is a very good young player and would be bad if he went, especially if he went for not much money. Although I agree that Stalteri should be first choice. I didn't rate him at first but in the last month or so he has started to look alot better. His crossing is not great though.

What you leave out of your report is his comment about wanting a realistic chance of playing European football in the next couple of seasons.

Kelly is an exceptnal young talent and should remain at our wonderful club.I agree that Ifil will emerge into an even better player than Kelly but he is going to need time before his true class can be channeled to great effect week in week out,we should keep Kelly and loan him out to a club that would rely on him which would be benificial to all everyone.

if contract expires this summer no point in loaning him out as he will be free agent at end. If we want him get him to sign new contract then consider a loan

If only it were possible to combine Stalteri's strength and defending ability with Kelly's pace, skill and vision going forward we'd have a world class player. Sadly this 'splitting of talents between players' can be seen in other areas of the team and is what stops us currently being a top 3 side.

Whats the point of having young british talent in the squad, who looks promising- to be sold to the spammers. Makes no sense; Last season he was one of the best attacking players (apart from our center forwards), this season he is no good. Spammers will be laughing all the way to the bank.
What will happen to Ziegler? He is the left side version of kelly. Will he be sold also?
