Huddlestone off
Big Tom is apparently leaving according to Spurs Community ITKs. Bids from three clubs have been accepted in the region of £8.5 million. One of the clubs is supposed to be Sunderland. Big Tom wants first team football and is something he is unlikely to get at Spurs in the near future.

Mixed feelings as could be one for future, but can be very frustrating, for a big guy weak in tackle, not quick, but can spray a cross field ball about Hoddle like and could strike a ball, if money could be used better elsewhere fair enough if it is wasted on Downing then think again

If it is 8.5 million I am sure that would be linked at appearances and achievements.

8.5m we should take- Hudd has great potential to be nex Hodd but not under Redknapp. We should get rid of players only if good dollars are given in exchange. Only Gomes, Mod, Defoe, Pal not 4 sale.

Don't wish to appear a doom and gloom monger - all the news is about who we are selling ( and the bids seem to be to Sunderland) - Hudd, Keane, Zokora,Bent, plus we have seen 'interest' from various clubs in O'Hara, Jenas, Hutton, Pav. Can someone let me know if we are going to buy anybody? The Real Madrid story was a bit of a pipe dream methinks and has dispappeared faster than it surfaced.
Has the reserve team been scrapped because we'll need them all for first team duties?

I like the guy but for 8.5 million I will drive hime to any interested club myself!!! With the talented midfielders we have got, he isn't ever gonna be first choice. Might as well get a good price for him now and put it towards something useful i.e a talented target man for Defoe to scamper around!

I've said enough times - we need to wait until after july 1st - for contract reasons this is when the majority of transfers are made and announced. It is no coincidence that Owen said wait until next week.
Our players will start leaving then, and incoming ones will be announced.
Calm down dears - it's only a window!!

anon 5:31...'talented midfielders'!!! Who? Spurs are not blessed with talented midfielders and the one we hae we are aiming to sell!

Redknapp is such a joke

just a note to spurs fans who keep going on about how hudd can be the new hoddle.....you must of never saw hoddle play....im getting mad hoddle is a god of the lane hudd is just a fat bloke who dinks the ball about sometimes...take the money and run 8.5 mil for a bloke that can pass...he cant run he dont head the ball and he will never ever ever be as good or close to hoddle...twaddle maybe but colse to hoddle never in your life

I guess Wilson, Modric and lennon don't count then.........And for the marmite posse I will just throw JJ into the mix!

i think the real reason is obvious, we need to sell before we can buy, i expect most of the stuff doing the rounds about players leaving has an element of truth, it usually does, if more than one paper picks up on it, the Keane saga seems like it may have legs also.
Think key is we shift some dead wood, and then harry can spend some money. That said, i'd say there's more dead wood to shift before Huddlestone, but it's supply and demand, and if people dont want to pay money for the likes of KPB, Zokora, Giberto, Bent, Pav what can we do?

With regards to the Keane Business, check the mirror's bit on the new kits.........the players modelling are Wilson, woody and psb

David Smith,
You on drugs mate? Huddlestone will not be near the England squad for next years World Cup fella. He'll even be lucky to be playing first team football at Spurs. He had a poor diet to match his poor games.

I'm with you Mr Smith, this guy is the most naturally gifted player seen at the lane in years. That said he seems to lack desire. The way i see it is the only person thats holding him back is himself.

was that all one sentence? did you pause for breath?
i agree with most of those sentiments. apart from the wild drugs accusation (though i'm sure drugs are pretty rife in football)
