O'Hara to Fulham
Rumours on COYS and FTL reckon O'Hara is going to Fulham for £4 million. I think that is a great bit of business for Spurs if true and will add funds to the transfer kitty. Levy has already stated at the AGM that none of the January purchases were budgeted for and thus 'Arry will have to raise some of the transfer funds himself if he wants to spend big.
O'Hara, nick named O'Horror by some, is a true Spurs fan but like many others before - Dean Marney (remember him) is not quite up to scratch and while he'll work hard all day he isn't quite good enough.

how ridiculous, the boys young and has plenty of time to develop, we're far too quick in dismissing youngsters who havent instantly pleased the fans! i like O'Hara and i imagine a majority of other spurs fans share my view!

Plays with passion, but then again so would 35,000 other people inside WHL if given the chance. He lacks the quality needed to be good enough in the middle of the park for us...we need to go up a level. Good luck in the future Jamie

I like his commitment and drive, but I've got to admit he hasn't got the quality and skill needed to cut it at WHL. Wishing him all the luck though. I will applaud him when he returns to WHL.

A lot of negative comments on here. Jamie is young and has plenty of time to develop into a quality player. Howvever he has definitely shown enough to remain at the lane and continue to improve. jamie has energy and drive and a decent left foot. Something we lack at the the club it would be stupid to get rid of the lad.

not good enough for Spurs but good enough for a european team... I think you Spurs fans have your top 4 glasses on again. A good signing for Fulham, hard working yes but he's also quality on the ball and does his fair bit of defensive work, as shown when he plays left back, similar to Danny Murphy I reckon.

The few posters above are deluded. Jamie O'Hara plays with heart yes, but he's too slow over the ground, and technically not of sufficient calibre for a top 5/6 challenge. 4m quid is too good to turn down for somebody that won't be playing very much.
And he's NOTHING like Danny Murphy. Murphy is a creative attacking midfielder who has to play deeper because of his age.

O'Hara is nearly 23. How long do we wait for him to develop? We all like him because he's Tottenham. But so what? He is not good enough and never will be. The problem with keeping him is that we are always tempted to play him when we have injuries which just holds up the development of Parrett, Bostock and any other young players. £4m would be a great bit of business.

Jamie has in the past impressesed as he always seemed to work hard, chase the lost cause and ocassionally getting the results. Maybe his form would improve if his personal life was'nt spread all over the newspapers and spent less time in faces or wherever they go now.Him and Bales have so much promise but gone off the boil.

Some of the comments stating that O'Hara isn't upto the standard required for Spurs to mount a challenge is unreal and completely off. I do understand that this is your opinion but what is this based on, one complete season? He has a quality left foot, decent positional sense, much better than Zokora; he just need some work on the rough edges to smooth everything out. He is a great squad player and any team needs a squad player. We all know who is the starting eleven, but we need positional players to come off the bench and he can help in a few positions.
Isn't his goal tally and assists better than Zokora, Jenas and Modric?
Many of you are very delusional on where Spurs are right now. Have you forgotten that we were stuck in the bottom third of the table for 2/3 of the season?

Funny how most people complain when players go searching for medals etc but when we have a player who gives his heart for the club we are willing to make a non-emotional decision and say they are not good enough for spurs. He is a good squad player and should stay.

I do hope Harry doesnt get rid of all the squad players, leaving us with 11 'first team players' with all the new ones not settling in, and a bunch of under 18's on the bench..
O'hara is young and decent, and will get better. Selling him and Huddlestone would be quite a big loss for us imo unless we can spend little on BETTER squad players which i doubt.

hoe many more youngsters have we got to flog before the lesson is learnt, blondel, taarabt, dos snatos, boateng, they aren't quoted as good players for no reason and what does it say if they can get into first teams around Euorpe then a season with us and they are struggling to play Championship football!!

He's a good squad player to me and he could become much more given time. I also love the fact he's a Spurs fan, but then so is Bentley and do we all want him to stay too? I think Harry knows a player and he's already gotten rid of the reserves because he wants a 1st team squad with 1st teamers in it, not upgraded reserves to make up the numbers. Which to be fair, O'Hara is really... Good luck to him wherever he ends up.

He's a good squad player but if you look at most of the top sides, they have a core of very good 1st team players and it's very rare that reserves get upgraded unless there are injuries or in the odd cup game. As we don't have the funds of the likes of Chelski, Manure etc, Harry has decided to axe the reserve team and send any player over 18 that isn't around the 1st team out on loan. This means fringe players like O'Hara might get trimmed from the squad and also generate some cash in the process. O'Hara's had his chance because the squad has lacked quality in that area, although he's done very well i'm not sure he's quite the quality we need to push on. If true, think Harry might have got this one right...
