Arnesen sticks knife in.

Frank Arnesen has departed Spurs with a parting shot claiming that all the best players would want to sign for Chelsea rather than Spurs.

Arnesen is quoted as saying:
"I have been at a club where we were always at the back of the queue,"

"Chelsea and Arsenal were always at the front of the queue signing the big players. I didn't like that."

Well duh! When a team is competing in the "Champions" League they will have a better chance of signing the top top players. However only 11 of these top players can start every week. As we saw with Scott Parker at Chelsea he is a good player but could not push into the team with Lampard ahead of him. He wasn't happy and eventually left after wasting a year of his career albeit on a big salary. Some footballers are money grabbing bastards who would happily do that but many would not be happy with this situation. These are the players that Spurs can go for as they realise that they can play week in and week out at Spurs BUT will also improve our team.

Spurs can attract big names as well. Defoe is a prime example. He probably could sign for Chelsea next week if we put him up for sale BUT how often would he play. Defoe wants to play every week. He wants to go to the World Cup. Coming off the bench every week would harm his chances of that and that is one of the reasons he is at Spurs.

Arnesen knew of the situation at Spurs, that we have underachieved for many a season. Coming in and suddenly realising that Ronaldo may not be knocking our door down was naive at best. What his task was was to attract better players than we already have so we can build towards the top four as we did do last season. The signings so far this season have also improved the squad and thus the team so we can continue to push on. Before Chelski waved the money Arnesen was saying things like "Spurs can go places" and "That we are always making progress". Now with comments he has made to the News of the Screws we can see what a hypocrite he really is. Maybe with an attitude like that we are actually better off without the money grabbing Dane.

COYS!

Well said mate! That dickhead Dane is acting like the small idiotic bully's mate, where he wouldnt say things unless he had someone standing infront of him to protect him from getting an arse kicking. That someone standing infront of him is now Chelsea who I feel should still be knocked down a peg or two. It amazes me that "The Dickhead Dane" feels confident to say these things when he still has to work at the Lane until September! He must be really stupid. No! Scrap that, he must be borderline retarded to start stiring things whilst still working for us. The sooner we loose him the better. Someone should seriously stamp "Damaged Goods" on his forehead before we ship him off.

What angered me the most is that he is admitting that he did a poor job and try to shift the blame!

Arnesen was brought in to sign players and says that he failed to do so, as the players he was after opted to go elsewhere. He was brougth in to change the club, and with that the perception of it amongst players. And if his own words are to be trusted he failed doing so.

As we all know though, his word isn't to be trusted, and as far as I can tell this is just his way of trying to shift focus from the real reason of his departure, his salary.

"I always wanted to be the one signing the big players and I know that joining Chelsea will now give me that chance." Well this doesn't make sense as his new job is to sign youth players. The other thing that makes me laugh is how many players have rejected Chelsea this season and if they do go, it'll be for one thing, money!

USE your BRAINS !!! Do you actually believe any shit that you read in the NOTW or most other Crap papers. I am really sure he would say that knowing he has to be at Spurs for the next seven weeks and i am sure he would have Clauses in his pre contract to prevent him from spouting off, Even if it was true it would not take a rocket scientist to work out that at the moment Spurs are behind Arsenal, and Chelsea as we are not involved in any European competitions, and we are only just begining to emerge as a force again.

boring article, why waste your time with this crap. What did you expect him to say "I left because everything was perfect and too many world class players wanted to come on a free"

Bloor. Who would want Parker when we have Carrick? After carricks appearances on the USA tour for England surely he is now more highly rated than a Parker who hasn't played for 18 months!!!Let the barcodes take him on £60k a week.

Bloor, I agreei dont think it matters to the big players or thier clubs about liking spurs , like any footballer i think they want high wages and theier club wants a big fee,

If levy is to prove himself to us then he needs to convince the players to come here and part of that involves outbidding the competition.

If the rumours about baptista are true then if they were to offer 15mil for him, do you think he would turn it down, i dont think so. I'm not saying we should pay that much for baptista but if there is someone out there that is a proven high class talent then we should outbid the competition, thats the only solution. If we get one of these types of players then others will follow, so will the success which will bring in funds to maintain the success.R

emember how many people wanted Gascoigne before we got him, and also lineker?? We got them because we forked out the dosh, and as far as i'm concerned it was worth every penny. Levy has to fork the cash over!!

lets give this prick arnsen some proper abuse, anyone know his wifes name?,lets see if he has the bottle to show his face at whl before he takes the salary increase as youth finder of west london, and anone who says pay the likes of parker 60k a week is off there heads, fair enough if we sign a player that takes into 4th place by all means reward em big time, but not before they do the business first, we really need a creative central midfielder as out first priority

I was gutted when Arnesen left, but after these comments, not anymore. He knew when he joined spurs that we would have to build a team round promising youngsters and players we could sign with potential, we were never going to be able to attract the Ronaldo's of this world. The real reason he went was for the money and to suck a russian pecker, but he will never admit that !!

Bloor, exactly, theres never been a better time for spurs to splash the cash, we have a good overall squad, we have the dosh, we buy 2 or 3 of the right class players then we're gonne stick it to the gooner scum and chelski cunts once and for all. This is the best time for us to go for it.

Come on levy, com on jol move yer arses!

Bloor, You are ignorant and GULLIBLE Spurs have spent over £50 million pounds in the last 18 months buying the the best and mostly young British players available, Spurs have had an influx of nearly 30 players just where do you think the money was going to come from to keep buying £10/20 million pound players, Think Leeds United and West Ham United, try thinking before you speak it will help to stop you from looking like an immature dick head, "It is like saying why don't you buy a £2 million pound house just because you want one dooooooooohhh"

PS- DON'T BELIEVE ALL THE SHIT YOU READ IN THE RAG TOPS MATE !!!!

Sumpo Bloor is right and youre a twat, the money will come from money we already had to spend for the summer, which there must have been an amount put aside for, then add the money that came for selling davies, then the money we got for the arnesen pay off, then the money we'll get for selling patchy freddie kanoute, thats where the money will come from, do the fucking masths. We've already bid 6 mil for downing and 7 for johnson, so we do have cash for fucks sake.

You must be living in cloud cuckoo land if you think we're gonna rise above the position we were last season with just these [paleyrs, they are an average side at the moment, just be satisfied with what we've got and next year yu'll be sat there like prat wishing our name gets pulled out a fucking hat in te fair play league to get into europe.

I know about the facts and figures mate, and that we have money available i was explaining that we could not have replaced the players already in with top class tried and tested players this would have cost hundreds of millions, we need a top quality midfield general, Parker would have been ideal (NO WAY HE WAS COMING HERE WHILE LEVY WAS AT WAR WITH CHELSEA) and may be another top class front man "last years team will improve" as only a mug would not realise a completely NEW team as last years was needs some time to gel together as a team.

Thanks for agreeing bloor, i dont understand why sumpo and all the other loonies in here dont want us to splash the cash?

while sumpo is waiting for a squad of average players to gel, arsene, fergie, mourinho, benitez, buy top class and we get left further and further behind.

Bloor, please explain to sumpo and every other nitwit that we need to buy some to class players soon.

OFFICIAL CLUB STATMENT (check it if you don't believe me)

Frank Arnesen wishes to make it clear that comments attributed to him in one of Sunday’s newspapers are totally unfounded, are not direct quotes from him and are inaccurate and misleading.

on the official site arnesen is saying it wasnt him who said this.

I think he did and is being spanked by levy. even if it wasnt said by him its the truth and we all know it.

Lets see what happens at the end of the new season, i have a feeling if what you want happens we'lol be at mid table again, and what i want happens we'll be in europe, lets see.

no4askin and sumpo youre both small time thinkers, but lets see what happens. I'll talk to you 2 gits at the end of the season opn this blog.

And what the fuck are you talking about arsenal, henry was not cheap, niether was Viera , do you know the the size of their wages when he brought them over???? reyes defintiely not, and lets not forget about Campbell, much as I'd like, it w3as this idiot chairtman's fault that we lost him for FUCK ALL!!!

the point i made is did you no who Henry was or viera or reyes?before they came no you fukin didnt...they werent big names were they you muppet,as far as campbell the cunt wanted out and lead us up the garden path...it wont happen again once bitten...we have spent money buying, and our squad is nearing completion, gotta get rid of some of the crap,gardner,atouba,etc..but we dont need super duper stars to upset the balance of spirit and comaradery jol is building,we are financially strong because of good management so don't slag levy of you pratt..I WANT I WANT I WANT ..leave MJ to do his work and stop fukin bleating you sad old sheep ...CMON YOU SPURS....

no4askin, you relly are a class A prat. The fact that we didnt know them doesnt mean they didnt cost money, which was your point to begin with. They cost and arsenal spent money, reyes cost 14 mil, not cheap, and I bet if someone told you he'd come to spurs now you'd bite their fucking hands off because he pisses over anything we've got.

And much as I hate to admit it, the real reason that prat campbell left the cluub was because we had no ambition, he knew that levy was not going to spend some serious cash to lift us up, he was a class act defender who wanted to play in the big leagues, we should have built the team around hi, instead, we got hod, who them bought a bunch of geriatrics and we achived fuck all, while campbell one the fucking league.

And what the fuck do you know about the dressing rrom at spurs??? you dont play there, they could all hate each other for all we know, high earners or no high earners.

You really are a child

takes 1 to no one.....we have spent more money prior to MJ coming than arsenal have and still achieved fuck all,its not just about spending money it's about buying the right players for the system you play, and as much as i don't no the spirit in the dressing room YOU no as much about what way MJ is gonna play, so watch and see if any big money signings come..i doubt it mate...when the right player comes jol will get him...."get rid of keane, git rid of mido" thats all i keep hearing irelands highest ever scorer, mido played a few games scored a few goals give them a chance and get behind them and stop bitching about who we might get and support what we have...which is a damn good squad ready to move up....beeaatch CMON YOU SPURS...
