Chelski Vs. Spurs.

Another large game draws near as Spurs prepare to face Chelsea at The Bridge tomorrow.  We all know about the history and a win there tomorrow is, unfortunatly, unlikely but getting a draw is more than possible and you never know we could sneak it.  However it is going to be a tough tough game.

We are virtually full strength with Robbo in goal, King, Dawson, Lee and Stalteri across the back four, Jenas, Carrick, Davids and Tainio in the middle with Mido and Keane / Defoe up front.  Chelsea have Robben suspended and Lampard and Terry are both doubts after picking up injuries against Barcelona.

I think our lack of width could well prove to be our downfall.  Not in the attacking sense but trying to keep a clean sheet.  Chelski attack with pace and like to use wide men such as Duff and even Wright-Phillips may get a game.  With our narrowness in the midfield we often fail to protect our full backs, who lets face it, are not the best full backs in the world and I feel Stalteri and Lee will have a difficult afternoon.

The only way I can see us beating Chelski unfortunatly is, if they are tired from their midweek game against Barca. A pesemist I am not , but I dont think it matters much whos in and whos out from their point of view because they have players as good as to come into the team if needed. But then again you never know and thats football so we might win. I agree with someone previous who said that you need wingers to attack them . I think this is spot on thats how to get at chelsea, down the wings its rare they concede through the middle. I feel, that contary to what other people are saying, Chelski will be well up for this match as managers tend to know which games are of more importantance to the fans and so do the players. This a big match and I think we will give them a proper game but we have to get into them nice and early. On a side note as good and all as Davids is if hes as fit as he was when he started against Blackburn he shouldnt start this one. He was a liability for the most of the previous match and we cant afford a reapat of that because we will be punished at the bridge.

We have too improve rapidly from the our past few matches. We have to try and take the game to Chelsea. The key tomorrow for me is Carrick and Davids. If they are at their best then we have a chance of getting something. Hopefully Chelsea will ve tired from the Barcelona game. But sadly they have so much quality is their squad, they can rotate without looking any weaker.
I would love it if we could beat them tomorrow. They have not lost a single home premiership match since Mourinho has been there. Let u sbe the first and give him somethimg else to moan about! COME ON YOU SPURS!!!!!!!!! They have to be up for it.

Who ever sent that last post should shut the fuck up. Yes, Staletri may have been at fault slightly for the goal, but to say Spurs fell apart is wrong. I think we looked quite comfortable all afternoon. Yes Chelsea had some chances. They were at home home and were always going to, but overall I felt our display was ok. Was just bad luck that they had such a good shot at the last seconds of the match. We were unlucky as we have been so many tines against Chelsea. I was proud of our boys. We didn't discrace ourselves.
