I think the team performed 100x better then in the Bolton game. Think Jenas is looking a bit dubious at times tho and Davids a bit slow on the passing. But Zokora done some glorious crosses once he came on for Tainio. Defoe was looking quite sharp 'n all. (How does he get the shots away within a blink of an eye?) :o) Lennon great as always and Keaneo is just full of Totts passion. Sorted.

Now we can all calm down and put things into perspective. BECAUSE if we beat Everton on Saturday and at least nick a draw against the Mancs the following Saturday, would mean we will be on exactly the same points total as our first 4 games last season...how about that?...that would well do me. ALSO thanks god no banana skin result tonite, a bad result would have seriously panicked everyone including MJ me thinks. But we put away a relegation favourite at home, as we did last year by mostly putting away the games we should. I guess we need to now keep beating the sides we should and to build on trying to obtain good results against the top 4 sides plus Bolton!

Shows how the creativity and passion of Keane is so important to us more than ever. Also like Tainio in the team and think in the near future Zokora will make a very good replacement for Davids.

Not too mention tinely and great contributions by our new legend in the making Berby and little Azza Lenno. Looks like Defoe might have to work hard to displace Keano from the team now, but hey thats great ealthy competition.

Keep things in perspective, Sheff Utd were very average to say the least. But there was so many plus points, Berbatov, Ekotto and Zakora (for 20 mins) look class and Keane showed why he is above Defoe in the pecking order, even if he did miss a total sitter!

talk about fickle !!!! is this the same spurs fans who were slating us and calling for mj's head on saturday?
get a grip - 2 games in, won 1 lost 1, 36 games to go = 108 points to play for!!!
davids was brilliant huh? yet saturday he was shit?? could it be he was played in his preferred position?? tainio gives us so much balance.
stop slating the team because of 1 poor result and get behind them, you wankers.

Newsflash - voicing your opinion when the team play as badly as they did on Saturday doesn't make you fickle!

If you're thin skinned, that's your problem.

Try getting a draw ONLY against ManU ? You won't have that kind of atitude from Rafa Benitaz Liverpool.

Hey people, we have to up our expectations this year.We must try to beat everyone; who cares it is Stamford bridge or Old Traffold.

Back on the bolton game, we STILL can't kill off teams. There is no natural leader on the field to ensure we don't drop off the pace.

Keane was awesome but not a leader last night. Our performance mirror his last night. Electric first half erratic 2nd half.

If we have aspirations to be top 4 team, this are games we need to win by 4 or 5..

Never said "try" getting a draw, because you wont get one at Old Trafford if you try for a draw you'll probably get stomped on. But if we played our hearts out like last year and came away with a draw minimum, got to say realistically would be happy...but if we beat them as we are capable of I believe, as a top 4 scalp away would really represent true progress from last year.

Just as the truth is that coming away with 1 point at Bolton would have represented progress on last year too. But a bad performance and bigger deficit than last year, which could have ben more had they put more chances away, was far from a satisfactory result this season obviously.

Keane is clearly the one that's making us tick right now. I don't think we can really leave him out..especially away from home where other players tend to give only 75%. Great performance today & it looks like we might have a decent striking partnership at last.

As for the all big knockers that "passed judgement" after Saturdays game..don't you guys feel even a little bit dumb??!!

The most satisfying comments from last night came from Warnock...spurs a very good team...in awe of some of our players...unplayable...fantastic...very complimentary superlastives.

I didn't read anywhere he was that impressed by Liverpool.

Thats progress.

Still... I think we could further improved by buying the right players.Much as I admire Lee, I think he is a bit lightweight.I think we should just pay up the money Wigan wants for Chimbonda.

I can't think of a better player than Duff for the left wing... still cursing we missed out on him.Downing , Petrov and Boa Morte is never going to be the player we need to challenge the top 4.

We must stop Wayne Bridge and Graveson from going to Newcastle...whats the matter with these fellas, the weather is better up North ? Can't they feel the excitement at WHL ?

Rackny good call about strengthening the squad mate. Its a shame that some people want us to talk about prawn sandwiches rather than talk about footballing subjects such as tactics or players that could potentially strengthen then the squad etc. I already said onthe last blog this is a blog about football isn't it?

I like prawn sandwiches too...as long as spurs fans here don't blasphemy...mock the name of God and Jesus, I'm ready to discuss the colors of the players hair.

Last year some idiot did exactly that before our West Ham game...calling Jesus some names and refused to stop and guess what ? our team is bugged by some mysterious illness ! Talking our divine judgement.

Read from the independent (which generally has very dependable rumours) that we would land Downing.I'm one of the chaps up who prefer the likes of Duff but I think Downing will be a useful addition. He would guarantee you at least 10 assists over the season if you believed the statistics.

Independent seems to think we would have 3 more signings before the transfer window closed; Downing, a striker and a right back.

Mido and Chimbonda for me.

8.38am...This is soccer blog of spurs fans of all walks of life so I expect remarks of all kind from the sexist to the racist. Some intelligent and some not so intelligent. Some remarks are harmless but some are really off limits.

Not believing Elvis is alive today, would not harm me. But not believing a Cobra bite is fatal, even if I have not been beaten by one is plain silly.

Would you want to mess around with a Cobra when your family members are around ?

In the same token, would you want to mess with the fortune of our beloved club with Blaspheming ?

All for the love of our club...

god?? jesus?? colour of hair???
get a grip (not a hair grip!!)
the only thing that intervenes in a football match is the 11 players who step over the white line and play the game.
for example, when we say hoddle was a god, we dont mean it lierally.
tell me - what happens when spurs play on a sunday - are you allowed to watch ??!!
