Lennon out six weeks.
Apparently Lennon's knee injury is more serious than we were led to believe. He is due a knee op in the next 48 hours and will be out for six weeks.
However, we may have a new midfield hero in Zokora after his excellent game against Slavia Prague.
Spurs out played Prague for large parts of the game and if our final ball had been a little better we would be taking a greater lead back to WHL in two weeks.

PRAGUE WERE ABSOLUTE CRAP AND WERE NOT WORTHY OF A EUROPEAN COMPETITION. WE WERE OKAY BUT LETS NOT GET CARRIED AWAY WITH A NARROW WIN AGAINST A BUNCH OF LITE WEIGHT NOBODIES.
OUR MATCH AGAINST FULHAM IS FAR MORE IMPORTANT.

Jenas will provide good RM cover for Lennon. But the boys speedy creative menace will be missed. Good time to try the 3 pronged attack anyone? with Keane in the hole and Berby and Defoe at the spearhead?

At last we had finally get our fullbacks sorted out.
I thought Chimbonda and Ekotto fitted like a glove in the last 2 matches.
Our poor league form is down to inconsistencies in key players, Robinson seems to lose confidence at every sight of a high ball into our penalty box.Keane just fizzled out after the Sheffied Utd game.Defoe looks less and less like the fireball we had when he first came.
Its had been very unsettling for the new recruits like Zokoro and Betbatov who are class players.Zokoro shows what he is all about last night.
Even Dawson, had been affected by our poor form.
I think Jol need to pull a rabbit out of the hat to restore the feel good factor. Its seems the Carrick effect do have some significance.
Strange it might to suggest, it's the midfield that we need to reinforce, there is just not enough flair there.Misplaced passing and lack of penetration. Tanio showed he is not the man to bring us up another level.
In some strange way, destiny seems to have hit us hard.King was out for sometime and now Lennoon.Pray we pulled through this sticky period.

overall im happy, we played well, the only thing wrong with that game was the commentry. John Barnes and John whoever! what were they thinking, when we managed to understand what they were saying we realised what complete and utter shite it was. did you hear the spurs boys singing o when the spurs? one of them goes "funny i thought we were watching tottenham, not southampton!"
what a complete pair of tossers.

According to John Barnes, Stalteri was a huge hit with us last year.

Re: 8.50am
Think the "southampton" comment was because of the 'saints go marching in' tune on which the 'oh when the Spurs' chant is based on.
However the commentator did at one point say "Spurs are in the all black strip" so he is indeed a very badly researched tosser.

This one cannot be overlooked! Our dear North London rivals have been getting so excited about their first European tie in 7 years that they appear to have gotten a bit confused. Martin Jol has been quoted as saying:
"We have done all our work. We have studied them. We can't underestimate them...In the last three years in the UEFA Cup they have reached a semi-final, a quarter-final and the last 16."
At first sight this appears to be a sensible statement on the eve of a potential banana skin. At second glance it becomes apparent that Martin Jol is talking about Sparta Prague and not Slavia who sp*rs actually play. Such information will no doubt be trotted out as an excuse when they lose to a team who have actually not reached the 5th round in 15 years!
Hopefully the same shoddy preparation has gone into hotel research and Tottenham end up with dodgy sauerkraut as a pre-match meal! Perhaps that Lasagne has had a more lasting effect than we first believed…

Hmmm.... It's also the colour of chocolate. Very nice. It's also by far the best of our 3 kits. Classy looking and rather stylish with its gold trim thank you. I remember the goons' attempt at an old fashioned stylee strip. The maroon collared debacle which resembled a 1980's bistro staff members top. Naff wasn't the word.
Yid15.
