Slavia Prague Vs Tottenham Hotspur

The great name of Tottenham Hotspur returns to Europe tomorrow in what will be a tough first leg away from home. We need a good performance from the lads tomorrow nigh to ensure we give ourselves the best chance of progressing to the group stages and hopefully on to win the trophy in May.

Although Lennon has travelled Jol is unlikely to risk him so will probably leave him on the bench in case we need an injection of pace towards the end of the game. Robinson will line up in goal, with the standard back four now of Chimbonda, King, Dawson and Benny Boy.

Neither Murphy or Ghaly have travelled and Berbatov faces a late fitness test. The middle should have Jenas on the right side with Tainio on the left. I expect Davids will play for his experience in the middle with Zokora alongside him although I have heard Huddlestone could feature in the middle. Mido should partner Defoe who did well when he featured against United last week.

Lets hope we return to WHL with a valuable away goal or two.

Who gives a flying fart about the shit cup.
More concerned about our dodgy prem form.
Robo is overated and needsakick up the arse. Maybe a drop to subs bench will wake him up after the Man U calamity.

Too many boys like defoe, jenas, dawson. both full backs, and edgar are believin their press and not doing it when it matters.

A win in Prague aginst a below average team will give confidence but will mean very little.

Just hope that a 3 0 win will not have our press fans purring about a great new glory glory era.

I aint being negative but just realistic .

Just watched the goons . They were brilliant and played as a team for 90 mins . No prima donnas there.

Hope our fans get behind us fopr a change and stop fuckin moaning as soon as we go behind,

THE TIME TO MOAN IS NOW LIKE I AM DOIN AND NOT DURING THE GAME.
SCUM FANS PUT OURS TO SHAME BY BACKING THEIR TEAM EVEN WHEN STRUGGLING.

You thought Defoe was good against Manure? I thought he wasted his chances. Mido did as well, but has the excuse of not having been in the squad to that point, unlike Defoe, who was supposedly "in form" for ENG.
Also, I think Jol may prefer to use Tainio and Davids on the wings, with Jenas and Zokora in the middle.
But if it were me (and I don't presume to know better than Jolly, who I trust wholeheartedly), I'd drop Eddie for Tainio on the left, and put Hud (who deserves a look)in the middle with Zok. Jenas (who needs a wake-up call) would play right if Len can't start. Keane & Mido up front.
Lastly, I'd like to suggest (controversially) that Robinson needs a rest. He looks out of sorts. Admittedly though, this fixture may not be the best time for that.
Thoughts?

Would Radek Cerny be allowed to replace Robinson, given as he is still officially on loan from Slavia Prague?

If not its a shame as Robinson has seemed somewhat complacent for some months now.

Quite obvious what is lacking.... steel, determination and a pair of balls from the so called big players. This confidence comes from the manager so Jol, while being a good manager, needs to instill this in the players.

"shit cup"?

"believin their press"?

"just watched the goons, they were brilliant"?

"Robinson has seemed somewhat complacent"?

There are some right lofty bastards on this site sometimes. Great stuff Spurs, I look forward to more improvement. Good to see MJ keeping his feet firmly planted.

Go on the Spurs!
