Spurs Vs Woolwich

Spurs back in a semi final and back against the scum for a place in the League Cup Final against Scum 2, the Chavs from Fulham. This is a real MUST WIN game especially as the second leg is at the Effeminates stadium and our away form is rubbish. We need to win tomorrow and I hope we win big to rub that smart smirk from Wenger's face.

We know that they have strong reserves but the scum have shown a complete lack of respect for this competiton over the last few years and it is about time we taught them something about respect by thrashing the life out of the bastards tomorrow. The crowd will have a massive part to play in making White Hart Lane as imitimadating as possible especially for the younger members of the team who have never experienced a North London Derby. Every season Judas had a mare against us at Tottenham due to the abuse he recieved and we need to ensure that the other scum players get the same sort of reception tomorrow.

King is still not fit so Gardner will line up with Dawson in the centre and will need to be on his toes against the pace of Walcott. Lee and Chimbonda will be wide. In fron will sit Zokora with Huddlestone - Lennon will be wide right with Malbranque left. Defoe should start with Berbatov.

Come on Spurs, lets do the filth! YID ARMY YID ARMY!

COYS!

With the crowd behind Spurs, we've got every chance, I think this one is about hunger for success, and about self belief, and it starts with the home support of the white Hart lane faithful. I remember the feeling before the Chelsea semi final in this competition, one early goal from iversen and everything changed 5-1, remember. come on you Spurs

sorry to say, but jol cost us that game. incredibly naive tactics. why not bring mido on for berbatov? malbranque was having a blinder on the left - anonymous after keane came on, who hardly touched the ball himself. gutted. 2 - 0 up and cruising, we really threw it away. why can't we get it right? back to the drawing board. saying that, we'll probably win away for the 1st time this season against premier opposition!

But tonight those people may be right cause Jol does not know what he's doing.

Bringing on Keane instead of Mido and then playing long balls to three midgets.

Zokora is pure shit of he highest order, i know Davids legs are gone but fuck me he is surly better then that useless cunt.

We won't get to the final now, Martin Jol asked us to make the diffrence and cheer the team on.

Hey both sets of losers on this blog...the spurs and gunners fans...if your sore aim of supporting your club is to insult one another as though the rivalry of the 2 clubs is soaked in blood...please grow up and get a life...

Football is not so big for all of you to behave like pigs...

You may "love" the club enough to call each other names but sadly the club don't know who you are.Stop being childish.

If you want to pick a fight, why don't you have some ba**s and do it at the local pub.Instead of hiding behind you computer.

Jol says that we lost the match not due to tactical reasons and claimed that Berbatov was missed.

Did I miss something there ?If We can't hold the ball up front, why don't he send in Mido and hit some long balls. At least that release the pressure of the midfield to challenge for ball. Once again he miscalculated and claimed that it was not his fault.

He was hoping to maintain the fludity of attacks by playing keane but did nothing when Wenger started attack down our left .Ekotto was overan as Malbranque keep moving forward.

He says that we are tired.Well that was what he want isn't it ? games after games of cup ties,is that something new that he didn't prepared for it?If we were tried ,what did he do switch the game plan around.Nothing.Non stop attacking without reservations as with the newcastle game.

If Wenger can play 2 fullbacks on the right. Why can't he play lee and ekotto both on the left and removed Malbranque granted he had a great game when we are still having at least a goal advantage.No.He don't have the ba**s to changed his system around.

When he gambled it were always againts the stronger team (Chelsea, Newcastle, Arsenal ETC..0 When he play safe, it were against the weaker teams (Portsmorth, Blackburn, Fulham). What perverted logic.

He says that we are to be blamed for losing a 2 goal lead. But from what I saw of the match.Respectfully, Mr Jol, the players did great on the night. We are no match for the gunners in terms of techique. Not many in the premiership can. But you blew it b'cos you have no idea how to protect that lead.
Anyone still thinks he is a master tactician ?

I'm a really frustrated spurs fan cheered only by the impending capture of Gareth Bale.

More B*S* from Jol, the only way to beat Arsenal is to hold the ball.We know that .But unless you are Barcelona you don't play gunners at their game.Fergie put in 2 fullbacks on their left but Man U still lost the game againts the gunners.

Huddlestone was every bit Fabregas equal in the 1st half but was reduced to pedestrian bec'os the midfield was overrun. The players need to stay mentally strong while they are tired ?Wenger provided the platform for Fabregas while Jol expect the players to run on empty.Hopefully the Fabregas and huddlestone metaphor would not extend to the future of the club.

Before long the "exciting potential" of the huddlestones at this club will be reduced to "nervy apphrehension".Just ask Robinson, Defoe and even Dawson.

Mr Levy, the cries of discontent has been flying around.I believed also in the drssing room.

Its time to act.I like Jol as a person. But liking a person and hopeing for the best would not do good for the future of this club. Its time to find someone in the summer to lead what is a squad full of possibilites.Especially with the likes of Bale comming in.

Definately...

Clive Allen has been perfoming wonders with the reserves, its about time they booted out Chrissy for a genuine leader.

Might even consider grooming him for the top job.

2-0 and Jol fucked it up, 2-0 and Jol fucked it up.

His tactical ineptness is getting boring now. Second half has got to be the most dissapointing display of managerial tactics from Jol yet. Surely he could see that we had two problems;

1 - our midfield was getting overrun with their movement and our players were running on empty. A change was needed in the centre of midfield (Zokora for Ghaly for fresh legs, couldn't have done much worse) at about 50 mins from where i was sitting.

2 - When the ball was pumped forward when were under pressue it would not stick! Why he brought Keane on when he does not like to play with two small men, and our defence was under siege in the second half, was amazing. It was as suspected completely the wrong move, we could not hold the ball up, and Keane was next to hopeless playing wide (taking the excellent Malbranque's position - amazing again!). Mido although not match fit was the replacement for Berba, especially when we were lumping the ball up most second half. So what does he do, he gives him 10 mins at the end, what can he do then! The damage was done!

Defoe was poor all night, not once did he beat his man, and missed two good chances either half. On this performance for a man in form he is not good enough at this level.

Unless Berba and Kingy return, and we get our tactics right, not just before the game but during, it could be curtains at the Emirates!

Congrats to Gardner, who up until last night i regarded as a waste of space, he was excellent throughout, along with all the other defenders (bar Robinson) and Huddlestone fought a losing battle to the end in Midfield. Lennon did well also.

ps - Shut your mouths Goons. Hardly the Kids, maybe they are all young but most were first teamers regardless of age (like us you have a young squad) there was only 3-4 non regulars that were soon replaced when they were 2-0 down. So dont give it Goons! Your manager got you a draw, not your (his) kids!

we may not be the best team in the land but we are a proud team with a great history and passionate fans and a good english core of players. when england play france who do you actually want to win?
your club has sold its sole and contributes nothing to english football.

i really dont mean to be personal, its not my thing, but here is what i and maybe a few others on here would like you to do.

you are obviously a complete and utter fuckwit who could greatly enhance and benefit this site by shoving your empty head up your own arse bypassing any cocks there and "retreating" to your own, now i am guessing here, fun packed, knowledgable, informative collection of missfits pointless, devoid of common sense, shit loaded opinions arse site, something no doubt im sure your very familiar with.

I read some criticism of Zokora.I understand the frustration especially some glaring ones that costs us such as the casual pass to Stevie G that lead to our defeat to Liverpool.

But on Wednesday,I thought Zokora, played well.In fact, I begin to see the possibilities and why gunners at one time was interested in him.In the first half he and huddlestone where excellent.

He could and is one player who can raise up to another level, pardon the excuse....given time.He has already began to be more aware of blocking shots outside the penalty area which costs us earlier in the season.

In fact, the players should not shoulder the blame for 2nd half capitulation. It brought back memories of that astonishing 5-3 defeat to Man U in 2001.

It was a TACTICAL problem despite the protestation of Jol.Bar some under par performance from Keane and Lennon in the 2nd half.I thought the other players were running their guts out.

Under Satinti, we know at least how to frustrate the opponents. I don't mind the team bus jibes from opposition but Jol have no idea how to organise his team defensively when at times we simply have to do that.It sheer BS to say that we should not adopt a approach b'cos it's not our style.

We play with style when we need to and bore the sh**t out of our opponents when we need to.

3:35 AM, January 26, 2007

Anonymous Anonymous said...

Someone rejected my opinion that we could learn to sit on one goal lead bc'os the team at the moment don't know how to do that.Thats BS.

I think its time to refresh our memories. When Satini took over the team in 2004 and 6 game into the season, we played a rampant Chelsea and we basically have a whole new team.

Saltini team frustrate chelsea so much and so convincingly, that at no time during the match, I thought chelsea could scored. In fact the best chance of the match fell to Keane.

I remembered Saltini shouting instructions time and again on the touchline how to maintain discipline and where he want the players to position themselves.

Jol's team despite having better quality could not defend for their lives.

I also remebered chissy hughton was not on the bench when Saltini was in charge.

I take the point into consideration that if you adopt a certain approach it would be rather difficult to change it during a match.

But when you have a 2 goal lead againts a team like the gunners, it's almost sucidal to attack non stop during the match.YOU SHOULD AT LEAST TRY TO USE THE SALTINI APPROACH after the 2nd goal.

Some have said that we sit back on our lead against the gunners. But it was in fact the other way.We tried to attack in search of the 3rd goal just as we did against Newcastle. For the team don't know how to defend systematically.

Goodness.

one of my major difficulties with the game was that it started to feel as if the team got over-confident, the began to realize they were playing teenagers who they were easily dominating, but once we let the teens build up so momentum, we couldn't find a way to stop them. I would agree with the second last post that it has to do with team integrity, the players need to learn some better team tactics, and get used to playing together, especially assou-ekotto and zokora, i thought they played fairly well, but they often were having troubles with the team dynamics.
