New shirt leaked? - Pictures

Apparently this is the new shirt and was on the Spurs website earlier today. It has now been removed but thanks to the various posters on FTL, Glory Glory and COYS! who spotted it. Some like it some don't but there is only so much you can do with a white shirt isn't there.

Rumors continue that the 125 year celebration shirt will be from the double winning era.

Finally, sorry because of the lack of posts recently - I aim to up the ante again as soon as I can!

COYS!

A £2 white V-neck t-shirt with some logos on it all for just 40 of your English Pounds - what a great celebration of 125 years!

What a waste of time and money and hardly a celebration more a 'give us more of your hard earned money' ploy.

what a rip off...bring back adidas...haven't bought a shirt since adidas and cant see myself doing so if these manufacturers keep churning out this sub-standard crap.

Adidas or find a good shirt designer Puma...sorry :-(

are you joking?

puma have made the best shirt probably ever for us and this is no different.

and Elegant white shirt with the cockeral on it, what else you want?

and it's hardly gonna be the quality of a £2 shirt is it...

I Agree, Puma is best we've had in years, and I believe they are the perfect match for spurs, anybody disagree should check out thier clothes stores - carnaby street - Fantastic designs, hope we keep puma for years to come, a great pairing.

Looks like this top fits better from the neck line. Also think the adidas shirt was a great one, although i also liked our kappa tops as they fitted really nice. Not much of a kappa wearer, but really like those.
I also have a really old top in my cupboard - v neck, Holsten and hummel, with arrows doing down from the arms. Must be early 90's!

Quite a nice, no-nonsense shirt design. If this is the actual shirt, then i hope it is accoumpanied with white shorts and white socks. But as this season's shirt is a celbration of 125 years i thought it would be radically different for one season only. I do like the simplicity though.

This is gorgeous, a classic looking kit reminiscent of the best 60's and 80's kits without the over-design typical of so many awful football shirts.

Let's hope this is no red herring and that the team play football as good looking as the shirt next year.

TRUE SPURS FANS WILL LOVE THIS SHIRT. IT IS THE SHIRT WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR OVER 40 YEARS THE LAST SHIRT WAS GREAT JUST LIKE THE MID 60S TO MID 70S SHIRT AND THIS ONE IS JUST LIKE THE EARLY 60S
YOU CAN NOT BEAT A WHITE SHIRT.. I WOULD PAY 40 £ JUST FOR THE BADGE ALONE.
IT WAS OBVIOUS THAT THIS WAS GOING TO BE THE STYLE BECAUSE OF WHAT THE SPURS WEB SITE SAID TRADITIONAL

Plain white with simple blue badge and Puma logo spoiled by huge red square dominating the front of the shirt. May as well have put a cannon underneath it. Hate the fact that Mansion is a gambling outfit. Dirty money. Without Mansion logo would have been a fine retro style shirt that looked like a Tottenham shirt should. Dump Mansion. Club could have had LG insted at the outset. It is not as if we are strapped for cash. Prefer round neck but appreciate link to 50's and 60's style. 81 my favourite. The sporting cockerel.

10:06 PM, May 01, 2007

Anonymous Anonymous said...

That's not the new shirt.

If you zoom right in you can see the blurred edges of the Cockerel and Puma logo where it's been photo-shopped.

Honestly, every year we get a mock up about a week before the official release, anyone remember the LG shirt from last year???

The reason the edges are blurred is because it isnt a real shirt - Puma will produce designs before hand and why should they aim for perfect quality photo-shopping, if they went for all that effort they might just as well produce a real shirt!

In previous years this kind of thing has happened and the shirt has materialised.

I believe it's done on purpose - they are testing the water, monitoring for reactions and then acting on the basis of what they hear. That's just my theory though.

i swear i saw a childs t-shirt in the shop on sunday that looked exactly like that, dont think this is the real kit.

11:05 PM, May 01, 2007

Anonymous Anonymous said...

nah they wouldn't be testing the water - if the release date is 11 days from now, then they'd have to look over all the feedback, make changes if necessary, then put it back out there.

i personally like it, the whole simple, "less is more" thing - last shirt i really liked was the all white Kappa one just because it was simple.

and to all those who moan about tight shirts, you're just a bunch of fat f**** lol

WOW!! im so shocked to see so many fans who share the same opinion of our jerseys as i do. I worked for the club in seasons 02/03 & 03/04 and had mentioned to the gaffer that our product dept needs to re-think our jerseys in a serious way!! Our damn motto is "NEVER RED" but we have a bloody red sponsor logo on home jerseys!! WHat the hell. Puma aint too bad but Kappa was absolute crap!!

A CLASSIC shirt with a CLASSIC design, all the way from the GLORY GLORY DAYS!!!

These are the shirts that fans cry out for, but it's only special seasons they get them. Look at Celtic fans, crying out for the 1967 design that won the European Cup - for over 20 years! Next season they get it because it's the 40th anniversary. It will be their biggest selling shirt EVER!

This will probably be ours!!!
I think ANY fan would agree, that the classic v-neck all white harks back to special times, and if this is the only season we can have it for another 20 years, then bring it on!!! COYS!!!

Love the plain white shirts, but v-necks are crap, and the Mansion logo is crap. You can't go for a subtle shirt design with that logo. The red monstrosity dominates the shirt.

Yes, the shirt matters! It matters to the fans. In my opinion, this is a great way to celebrate 125 years of history, its respectful and in keeping with the current premiership trend of less is more. Simplicity is the key, lillywhite is the colour. Mansion logo is a massive spoiler. Would be great to somehow incorporate the mansion logo in a less RED way. If it were smaller and in black sat beneath the puma logo and the proud cockerel, now there's a thought.

This is exactly how the shirt should look. Plain white harks back to the good old days. The v neck will look much better than the round one, it looks like a proper football shirt no poncy lapels or blue bits. This is another step in the right direction after choosing to play in white in Europe. As for those of you who dislike the Mansion logo, I'd rather have that than have to sell Berbatov or Lennon to get cash. Wake up people its the real world here. Ideally we'd all like to have no logo.

It's a perfect style of kit for Tottenham Hotspur... hte name oozes class, and so does the shirt. I know the red mansion logo won't go down well with some, but i've a feeling they might just release a Special, special edition without all that guff on it! Only hoping the shorts are plain navy, and the away kit is an exact reverse of the first, and I'll be in kit heaven! Totally agree with whoever said that THIS is the kit we've been waiting 40 years for... why the hell else do you think TOFFS have been such a success... Football fans, (and us Spurs fans in particular) CRAVE the past, the history, the heritage, and the iconic Pictures of Danny B being held aloft with various trophies in THAT KIT! Very impressed, and excited... almost took my mind off the 'Push & Run-in' for Europe!! COME ON YOU SPURS!

Couldn't in all honesty give a toss about the red on the shirt, really. It's predominantly white, it has the cockerel on the ball, and it is worn by the Spurs players.
It's not predominantly red, it doesn't have a cannon on it, and you don't have to be French to wear it (although with the comings and goings at the Lane lately, it's hard to tell! lol).
I guess people just need to find a fault somewhere with everything.

There's no significant change in the shirt, I mean I'd prefer the previous shirt over the new one. But tell me one thing, are you sure this is the original Spur shirt? Because I don't think they can perform such a huge blunder by accidentally uploading the picture and removing it then.
