Citeh Vs. Spurs

The last festive game takes place on Wednesday night against mid table Manchester City. After a strong start Citeh have fallen off the pace a little and find themselves in 9th place while of course we are fourth. A win tomorrow will see us stay fourth but move within 1 point of Liverpool. It will also put us six points above Wigan and a minimum of 4 above the scum but with any luck it will be seven when United stuff the filth tonight.

Davids is a doubt but I think he will make the game. Tainio has an illness so may not play and if that is the case I expect Lennon to slot into the right position to provide some width. King is definitely out so Gardner will continue to deputise. Robbie Keane will continue to start ahead of Defoe after a great performance against Newcastle.

This is a great chance to really start to make a claim for fourth spot and consolidate our position. A win is necessary, a draw just about acceptable. Defeat though could allow the scum and Bolton to catch us.

yeah, its a crucial game we must win, but how many times in the past have we failed to take advantage of these moments. City is a tricky place to go, especially on a Weds night and its a game i can well see us losing, hopefully the thought of opening up that 6 point gap will inspire us to victory.

I also think Defoe must start this one,it is one of those games which will be very tight and Defoe can pull something out of the hat.Mido and Defoe should see us win this 2-0.

I wouldn't necessarily say that this is a must win. I would be happy with a point, but I don't think MJ is thinking along those lines. He will be making sure that the boys will be up for it big time. I reckon the score will be 3-1 to spurs. Jenas free kick and two for Defoe. Looking at the fixtures up until the end of the season this is a game we have to take points from. Feb is a good set of games with loads of points available, march should be fairly lucrative, but april is a shocker. So now is the time.
