Good news about the new badge.

Apparently the new badge will please traditionalists according to people in the know at Spurs. The Trust have also seen it and are happy with it but it won't look like the badge on this mock up of the new shirt currently doing the rounds. COYS have it here, one of the best Spurs message boards around by the way.

So, if true, this rules out a return of the cockeral on a ball which was used for much of the seventies. So this leaves something like we had back in the 50s and 60s maybe as seen in these images:

This is depressing... over at the gooners, they are talking about the inpending arrival of Walcott and here the good news is the badge...half the window period is gone and we have lost out on Bridge, the new "Jaap Stam" and some failed bids.It sounds like one of those pre-arnesan days.

I'm sorry annon, but I was at the reserve game last night and the sloppy pole was useless, if he wants to know how to be a striker he should keep a close eye on lee barnard (pace, control, passion and an eye for goal). Yes he scord an overhead but he had so much time and space against a Championship RESERVE team it was shocking

I dont like that new kit, it needs a little yellow trim. Something like the 91 umbro one. As for LG please no, its so boring. Lets get something like Microsoft or the always popular Hostern.

As for the signings we need a forward, C.Cole or Kuyt are our best options at the mo. And we need to sort out our laft hand side, still think Bridge would fit in quiet well.
As for that Derby player who keeps stealing a Spurs shirt and smeaking on the field, security needs to stop him. Before he costs us our European spot and this isnt being a git. He isnt good enough for us and thats a fact.

Latin is desirable but by no means a deal breaker.

But where are the signings to match the excitement of the boy Davids?????????????????

Jol must be sick of knowing Walcott et all have gone west or rather gone arse.( No capital A intentional )

But where are the Feyenoord Two, where is the bleedin hope that we're on the case, that our scouts are delivering? Where's the Dutch Connection?

Bloody arsenal.

the more we talk about the scums signings the more they are gettin what they want since when do we need to talk about who they have signed and we havent, there buying because they are on a decline . i would rather we bought some good players capable of our first team (unlike the derby county imposter) behind the scenes rather than be in the spotlight for talkin about players we want but cant get, it happened before and it ended up humiliating.

Does eney 1 no exactly why writing 'eney 1' is easier than writing 'anyone'? It's the same number of characters. We have a beautiful language - don't spoil it. We also have a football team to be proud of. Stop making us look stupid.

gr8!

I like the kit - it's mostly white, just like the lillywhites remember. I also think both Barnard and Rasiak should be given a run in the team i.e. 5 games, if after that they still can't cut it then so be it. I recall a certain G Lineker taking seven games to score when he came to Spurs and he was at the top of his game at the time.

West Stand Upper Crust says......
I think the current kit (though I hated it when I first saw it on the web) is brilliant; it says "We Mean Business".

Badge - smadge! The club has to protect the Logo, the name, the brand, and the intellectual property; I think it is a good sign that our board have now caught up wth other forward thinking clubs in this respect. Rasiak - pah! I've seen telephone boxes that are more mobile.

4th place - at last we are not a joke club any more. It will be a mighty challenge to hang on to this position, but let's look at the next four fixtures; we have Villa, Fulham, Charlton, and Sunderland. Liverpool have Manure, The Scum, and Chelski. Let's see which bird is singing the loudest at the end of February, the Liver Bird or the Cockney Cockerel.

i happen to like our current kit but i think if that is our new kit then quality!! i think it looks lush. simple and traditional. none of this orange bollocks or bright and cheerful. i'd be ashamed to wear most teams kit in this league. our kit has always with the exception of the pony one, been very credible. even other fans like our kit!! they hate us but like our strips.

I quite like that kit, not that it's real or anything.

I reckon Bridge'll come on loan- playing for shite like Fulham 'aint gonna help anyone get into the England squad.

Bar that we'll end up panick buying another lanky striker no one's heard of for a shit load of money who'll never settle.

Something to look for to, eh?

impatient yiddish cousins...signings will come we are always quiet on who we are signing until it's a done deal. the shirt is just like the old school one from the days when we were a force to be reckoned with, puma are a "trendy" brand, LG are one of the richest and fastest growing companies in the world (and it's purple not red on the logo). stop with all the hating and chill out. let the gooners buy a few french players we have the better crop of players and will come good in the long run. i know it's been a long wait but our time is coming.............

don't worry about LG mate, all you have to worry about is the 5 million a year that they pay, way more above thompson.
Puma do good football gear not like Nike the bandwagon jumpers when football suddenly became "cool"

The new shirt looks quality, much better than the blue sleeved effort that we have now. SPURS HAVE PREDOMINANTLY WHITE SHIRTS NOT HALF AND HALF

Be patient boys! Remember the last 2 January tranfer windows? We signed Reid and Dawson in the final hours, and Defoe the season before with time running out.

We have made too many rash buys over the years and where has it got us?

I trust Jol and Comoli`s judgment totally and i agree if we have to wait for the right player, then it makes sense.
We all know where we need strength.
Extra cover at left back, a top left winger, and a big holding striker.
These are all hard places to find average, let alone top class in January.

There are not too many decent left backs out there, and Wayne Bridge is one of the better. I think an initial loan would be a good deal for both player and club. After his recent injuries, though a very good player when fit, we dont want to sign a good player for a lot of money, only to sit in the treatment room! (Remember Anderton?) A loan tril period makes sense.

Big strikers?
Kuit would be the ideal man cause he also gets a good share of goals, but his club wont let him go until the end of the season.
So what do we do? Search for a loan striker till the end of the season and then but Kuit, or pay out,get a qick fix only to waste funds long term?

And finally on the left wing?
Tell me how many top left wingers who would fit into the british game that are available?
Not many at all, and those that are out there would cost a fortune because other clubs realise this same problem position.

So be patient guys.
Jol knows where we need strength but we have to be patient. The window still has plenty of time to run!

Let`s not remember, we are 4th and in a good position for Europe next season, and boast a very good young eager side with massive potential including Lennon and Huddlestone.

Come on you Spurs!!!!

i like the shirt, badge is great but the sponser arghhhhh its got a huge patch of f**king red on it.don't care how much money they want to pile into the club lets get this red colour off our shirt for good.

also everyone be calm about the transfer window,if martin jol thinks we need to buy he'll buy.i have every faith in this man to produce the goods and im sure deep down all spurs fans feel the same.if we don't buy we'll still finish fourth, thats my opinion.

5:26 PM, January 18, 2006

Anonymous Anonymous said...

We MUST buy to keep the 4th place. All the "big 4" teams have added and strengthened in the transfer window.
The quietness at WHL signals, in my opinion, that Levy do not want to gamble big money on players or Jol and co has accepted that we are not going to challenge for that CL place.
Or Comolli just ain't in Arnesan class when coming to wheeling and dealing on players.
It's plain for our eyes to see, there is obvious weakness in the squad, which cannot be rectify internally.
Unless Jol can turn water into wine, I just can't see how we can keep that 4th spot till end of the season

Sponsorships are hard reality. The biggest joined with the biggest. We ain't doing too badly, if a foreign MNC wants to tie up with us, it means spurs have global branding potential and thats good news.

LG is with us because of Lee Yong Pyo.If we continue to be successful, spurs would be a great draw in the far east and maybe the Glazers and Abramovich's may come...

The ONLY thing that Samsung edge LG Electronics in are mobile phones.

But LG also happen to be in the TOP 4 mobile phones makers and distributers in the WORLD. Only Nokia (1) Motoraloa (2) and Samsung are ahead of them.

With their joint ventures with Phillips LG are now one of the most powerful and respected electronics in the world. FACT

Are you trying to describe the relationship you have with your pops?....oh shit i forgot, you don't know who he is do you?

Anyway grest cusses numpty, i'll try and remember them next time i'm climbing off your mum, which reminds me i'll have to give you a clip round the ear next time i'm round you cheeky little bugger.

Seriously though, the thing is, you should be thanking me, the money your mum charges me pays for your school uniform and dinners sunshine.

And please, show me a bit more respect because i could have been your dad, but the line was too long.

P.S. I imagine your mums pleased wih the new proposed 'relaxed' laws, eh?!

Now crawl back in your box you little gimp...and sssh, cos mummys got 'special' friends coming round.

"She" also say to go easy with you, as you can't find chicks on your own and have to pay for sex.

But its easy to understand why given your dick size.My condolences.
