"It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory." Bill Nicholson. SPURS

Are there any plans yet to assemble a Spurs side that will not loose Carling or FA Cup matches to lower league oposition? When they have that technology I will be really interested!! I don't know about you lot but I am still gutted about Sunday. I cannot get over it and the angle of "we can focus on the Premier League and qualifying for Europe" is not sitting well right now. How the heck do we loose to Leicester City after being up 2-0? I'm gutted!

Leicester wanted to win more than Spurs did. The Davids effect wore off after two matches without him !

It's the Man City 3-4 Deja Vu all over again. This was worst be'cos we met a team low on confidence prior to a match that grew stronger; encouraged by our collective incompetence.

After the match, I tried hard to think of a worst striker to have don the spurs colours than Rasiak, I couldn't think of one.Even Chris Armstrong was better. The frightening thing is that both Houghton and Jol insisted he "would come good".

Brown must have thought he has become a automatic first team player after the Man City match. His indifference was disgusting and the second goal was due to his careless marking.Sorry, please ship him out.

Gardner looked like the new Dean Richards and Kelly looked as if he is looking for a transfer.

As for Jol, this might sound controversial and some may think is a knee jerk opinion on my part.He might be our Dutch Eriksson; cool calm collected on the exterior but offered nothing on the tactical side.Did anyone notice how Criag levein outsmarted Jol by introducing Elvis Hammond ?
Elvis impact was almost immediate.Leister keep pumping high balls to the 2 strikers in the beginning of the second half and by pass the midfield all together. They saw what a lot of us saw,Gardner was the weak link.Instead of stretching the city defense, with the tricksters we have in Lennon and Routledge, we replaced lennon, kept Rasiak and introduce tanio !
Yes getting to Europe is not only a must , if not we have serious doubts of our jolly big fat dutchman ability to keep this ship afloat let alone in the right direction.

To the previous comment "we have serious doubts of our jolly big fat dutchman ability to keep this ship afloat let alone in the right direction."
If we beat Liverpool this weekend and go 3rd on the table, Jol will be hailed by all the doubters!!!

I'm a bit concerned about our left sided swiss super star, Ziegler. He was a shinning light last season, And i think our best player. I couldn't quite beleave why he lost his place to the (at the time) over rated Reid.

Anyway my point is, he was sent on a season long loan to Hamburg to get regular first team football. Well, he hasn't. In fact i don't think he has started one game for them (currect me if i'm wrong). He is a sub every week, and accasionally comes on for 10/15 mins. With our continual problems down the left side, surely he should be brought back?

4:34am...We beating Liverpool ? you are saying this in hope or with conviction we can ?
What odds are you offering? maybe I should buy a bet from you...
We love spurs but we must see our weakness objectively. We did not lose the FA cup tie b'cos some players underperformed, we also lost the match tactically and Jol have to take some blame.

If we do not bring some players to reinforce ours squad this Jan, we may even lose our European ambition come May.

Rasiak, Brown, and Gardner is just not good enough !

So now you're questioning Martin Jol's ability you fucking tiny brained peewits! Get a life. What about his record in holland? And his record with us in the league? And the opinion of all other premiership managers including wenger& fergy? And that Dutch leicester player who said he was the best manager he'd played under?
We fuck-up with several top first-teamers out and out of positioned underplayed 2nd teamers in and you start throwing tantrums like a hysterical little girl. Mr Jol's Tottenham was never about THIS team THIS year. It's about the next couple. Sorting the wheat from the chaff. Buying in and raising up. Blending over time the way it's supposed to be done. Along the way there'll be some slip ups but he's only been incharge about 1 year and we've come on fantastically fast. If you want it all NOW fuck off and support chelski otherwise get behind the boys through thick & thin. That's what true support is all about.

COME ON YOU SPURS!!!

To that last post, "If you want it all NOW fuck off and support chelski otherwise get behind the boys through thick & thin. That's what true support is all about.
" fucking well said. I get the distinct feeling that the person making the post that questions Mr Jols ability has never set foot in the lane

Hey, you bird brains, if you can't get into a intelligent exchange without using foul words and your over hyped emotions than my opinions are not for you to hear. You dick head.
Nothing will pleases me more to see Martin Jol succeed but I have seen enough of blind loyalty. For goodness sake '... Leiseter is a championship side trying to stay away from relegation. So what is this excuse of us missing 4 regulars ?Liverpool went to Luton town and did the required and thats the standard we are aiming for.

lets be realistic, the FA cup is basically chelseas this year, they`ll want to win it after missing out last year. and they can so easily.
furthermore, at least Jol might have noticed that he can never play rasiak or kelly against a championship side, let alone a premiership side - and with this happening during an open window. thats good right?
