Petrov here for Medical and Bentley rumours

Martin Petrov has flown down to London on Monday to discuss terms and a medical with Spurs according to sources on SO and SC. He would provide cover on the left and booster the midfield alongside the signing of Nico from Pompey. The Citeh forums are quite upset at the prospect of him going but I only really see him as cover on the left for Modric.

There are now three strong rumours that Bentley is finally being jogged on. The Bin Dippers in the red side of Liverpool have supposedly made a bid but I don't believe they have the cash. Villa and Citeh are supposedly the other clubs involved according to info from SC and FTL. If true we maybe able to recoup the cash we spent on him 12 months ago.

Yeah, and let's see an out and out left winger in Petrov, as "cover" for Modric, who's being played out of position out wide.

Come on mate!

Anyone who's watch Petrov knows the damage he could do to teams and extra width he can give us. Harry loves a 4-4-2, so we'll hopefully see Modric come inside alongside Wilson.

Harry is still in the hunt for that 2nd defensive midfielder. Have you considered that at least for home games we could player 3-5-2 when everyone is fit?

That would be a strong unit at the back, and the two defensive midfielders would make up for the lack of tracking back from Lennon and most likely Petrov. But Modric in the hole behind the strikers?

......think I just wet myself!

Modric is not being played out of position. He used to play on the left wing for his old club.

Modric is injured & we are left well short of creativity now (I personaly would give Dos Santos a go) So why let Bently go? If something happens to Lennon then I think Bently is the Best option. We do not need to sell so why weaken a squad whilst top of the league. Petrov is old and Injury prone and Kranky is an able deputy for a few months but no Modric. We are top of the league & should not be selling unless the swap deal makes us a better team (Young for Bently & cash, is better than Bently & Petrov.) what about Joe Cole? these are LHS players we should look at.
