Spurs Vs Everton.

Spurs take on Everton for their first home game of the season. Kick off is at 8pm and the club have already warned fans to be there as early as possible.

Tottenham badly need to start their season tomorrow. A dismal start in the previous campaign saw us playing catch up and if we are to challenge for the top four we cannot afford a defeat tomorrow. Until last season Everton were our whipping boys. The press never seemed to pick up the fact that Everton had not won a game at White Hart Lane for 21 years but they were always rolling out Spurs Chelsea stats - funny that. However, with ten men, Everton took the points last season and fully deserved to.

Spurs were dismal going forward at Sunderland. We had plenty of possession but no one knew what to do with it so we must be more creative tomorrow. Rumors on the net reckon Bent with start up front with Berbatov. With injuries to various people including all our left backs and Lennon it sounds like Keane will play on the right side of the midfield with Jenas, Zokora and Malbranque making the other three. It is unlikely that Dawson will be fit so I hope Rocha will fit in next to Kaboul

Keane will be able to offer more creativity as long as it sticks to his right wing - if he drifts in we shall be left once gain with a very narrow, tight midfield which could cause problems. Whatever happens, a win is necessary.

COYS!

If Jol rates Taarabt so highly I think he needs to grow some balls and start him, especially at home

lets be positive.....If BMJ learns from his constant NEGATIVITY which he loves to return too...and drops the amnesia, then WE CAN MAKE TOP 4....If he continues to play tainio and malbranque out of position on the left...then he will lose his job...its that simple....cmon BMJ lets see the courage !!! We are definately short of quality in the middle of the park. This is covered up when we have Lennon on the wing. Our shortcomings were exposed fully against Sunderland. Replacement for Jenas and Zokora and a true left winger are a must for any attempt to break into the top four. Upfront and at the back I think we are sorted.

i cant see how we have strengthened enough to seriously consider ourselves top four. up front we never had a problem why bent? its left midfield thats our problem we are totall unbalanced i watched that petrov for man city he looks fantastic he was our saving grace why did jol not go all out for him instead of sticking with malbranque i know its only one game into the season but i believe we are onl 2 good players short of a serious challenge

The Truth.
Do you really want to go back to the days of Ossie Ardiles, it's great entertainment for the neutral supporter, but nerve racking and upsetting from spurs fans. I'd like to see us a bit more defensive away from home griding out a few boring one nils until christmas. Then when we have a fully fit squad kick on and blast opposition off the face of the earth with our fire power. As i say get some points and a good run of games under our belt.

blast opposition off the face of the earth with our fire power!!! come on our fire power cant ignite unless our powder puff midfield doesnt perform bazeer had a decent point we ned a more cutting edge down the left but who is there?

we have adel taraabt for left. Everyone keeps banging on about an LM but the fact is that won't rectify our weak midfield. We need a general to control the middle of the park. EPL winners always have someone in their team with a big pair of bowlocks. all too often our back four get no protection from the midfield and are consequently severely exposed.

Watched your game against Sunderland and all I can say is that Spurs are over-rated...top 4 my ass. You're in for a rude awakening against Everton. Good luck!
