Woodgate done and others

Reliable sources from FTL, SO and COYS have said that Woodgate has passed his medical over the weekend and will sign a three and a half year deal tomorrow. An excellent defender, he has had trouble with injuries so I suspect it was a tough medical Spurs put him through. Woodgate and King would make an excellent defensive pairing as long as they can both stay fit. This will see Dawson as back up as he seems to be error prone without King beside him.

Gilberto, the Hertha Berlin fullback, will have a medical tomorrow and assuming he passes will sign on the dotted line in the week.

Hutton is still on and off but if he signs Chimbonda will be gone, possibly to Sevilla.

Cerny looks like he will keep his place in goal, even after a mistake today, as no new keeper is due before the summer.

We may be back in for Downing with a cheeky last minute bid to test 'Boro but with £7 million already going there way they will hopefully resist our advances.

COYS!

Real easy to pretend you are breaking news or ITK after it gets on SSN! laughable. I really wouldn't believe most of the pap you read on COYS.

Captain Sicknote, my arse
I'd rather have Ledley palying selectively than not at all, especially after Dawson's performance today.
The guy is deeply limited & I would bet that Kaboul becomes No3 CB once Woodgate (hopefully) arrives.
Dawson lacks pace & positional sense. Great pass for the first goal, but that was something of an exception from him.
All in all, though, a decenyt perfomance and I thought Gunter looked promising from the limited chance he had to play orthodox LB before Dawson's kamikaze.

he aint crocked, would of been his 3rd game in a week. considering not long back from almost a year out can't expect him to play that often yet, rushing players back from serious injury is what causes more injury's

From what I hear from Rangers fans, Hutton is outstanding.
When I've seen Woodgate in a Boro shirt i've often said to myself 'shame he's not at Spurs.

Things are definately improving and with these two coming in to replace the players that are under achieving this year at Spurs ( Dawson, Chimbonda )less goals against will mean more victories.

Wasn't happy with LYP turning his back to Tevez shot and is it me or is Berbatov playing poorly at the moment? At one point against ManU he almost injured himself while having one of his tantrums!!!

I'm really happy to see Spurs playing with confidence at last and things can only get better.

The Ramos influence is really noticeable.

So much for Woodgate signing....does it remind anyone when the scum did this to us with Emmanuel Petit! The board must be furious after passing the medical and agreeing terms!

The mail has reported that Woody ( can we call him that now!) has turned down L'arse. I know it's the mail but if this is true it's good news and quite funny! With Hutton, Gilberto, King and Woodgate, we'll have an awsome defence. Bale can be our left winger.

“I do not know where that story came from,” Wenger wrote in his programme notes for Tuesday’s game against Newcastle United.

“There is no truth in it at all. We have never been in touch with Middlesbrough about Jonathan Woodgate.”
