Window slams shut

So the Window has closed and has seen the arrival of the two Kyles (one now out on loan), Crouch, Bassong and as revealed yesterday Nico from Portsmouth.

What do we all think of the Window? I have to say I'm pretty pleased. I would have liked an upgrade on Crouch but he showed how he can cause chaos when needed. Kyle Naughton has the making of an excellent right back and we managed to jog on Chimbonda. Darren Bent also left in a deal worth up to £16 million quid so that as a good bit of business. I still think we could have done with a top quality central midfielder as we have no natural cover for Wilson if he is injured or suspended but at least Jenas is still here so we don't have to rely on Huddlestone all season.

What are other people's opinions? I think it's been a pretty good window.

I'm shocked we haven't signed a powerful central midfielder to partner/backup Palacios.

Im pleaed Bentley stayed. Yes...he hasn't actually done anything to warrant that response as of yet but something tells me that he still has a big part to play in the future of THFC.

As for Button going out on loan, lets hope Gomes has made a miraculous recovery as we have no one else.

Am massively disapointed that we haven't signed any midfield back up and have still got the useless jenas, lets just hope palacios doesn't get injured or we are srtuffed.

Yeah but who. There aren't many Palacios's around. Jenas will be decent cover for Palacios. He has the engine - just lacks a bit of confidence. Jamie could play in there too if necessary. I'm more worried about the CB situation. Unless we get some of these guys fit our season will go down the toilet. I don't fancy Bassong and Corluka against Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Just feel sorry for Martin Petrov. It would be wonderful left wing. Lennon - right, Petrov - left, Modric - attacking midfielder, Palacios - defensive midfielder, what we want more. But Niko Kranjcar is not a bad purchase, especially for those who gave money to Portsmouth.
