Spurs Vs Villa and Ziegler returns.

Spurs take on Villa tomorrow in what is another must win game against inferiour opposition. Another defeat would give us a bad little run and will allow our main rivals for a top five finsih to gain ground, especially the likes of the scum and Bolton.

Mido and Naybet are both away with their respective countries and Stalteri is suspended but otherwise we have a fully fit squad to choose from although the fact that King is continuing to have treatment for an ongoing groin problem is worrying. If he has a problem like that then we should use the squad available so it can be cleared up fully, not left to linger for the rest of the season and then through the World Cup.

Jol made some interesting comments through the press stating that Defoe is "too good to be on the bench" so expect him and Keane to play together tomorrow. Kelly will slot in for Stalteri and apart from that it will be the usual suspects with the only choice coming between Lennon and Tainio.

Since we missed out Bridge, Ziegler has been recalled to cover on the left and this could also signal the departure of Andy Reid. In other news the scum signed Walcott today because, as the press say, "Wenger has a great record of bringing through young players". One English player has come through in all the time he has been there, Ashley Cole so expect Walcott to go the way of Pennent in a few years time.

Nonetheless it still looks like a Basketball.

The lack of latin degrades it in class too.

Not terrible but could be easily improved upon.

I would like to see Defoe and keane up front tom, I don't understand why everyone thinks they can't play together, they just need a bit of time and service.
I would also like to see both Barnard and El Hamdaoui on the bench tom to give us the chance of changing the game when we need to, if Ziegler is fit could also be worth naming him as a substitute.

These are the sort of games we should not only be winning but winning them comfortably to help out our goal difference. COYS

glad ziegler is back - maybe jol reads these pages after all ! he's going to need time to resettle and get match fit - he hasnt played much in hamburg, about 10 games as sub i think.
would love to see barnard on the bench tomorrow and given a run out for part of the game. if king is struggling with an injury, isnt it worth giving huddlestone or davenport a run ? thats what big squads are all about after all.
with our next games after villa of fulham, charlton and sunderland, we must aim for 12points and a big goal difference. by that time as well mido will be back. lets hope lennon gives bridge a nightmare game if selected !!

Zeigler to wigan? can't see him wanting that, put him straight back in. i can't see hamburg letting him be unfit. the media will write anything for a story. As for raziak we'd do better with chirpy up front. I think we should play keane and defoe as there is no better option, with jenas in the hole behind. the club badge is the nuts. less fussy and at last we have got rid of the scum red logo. And by the way good luck to the Toffees tmrw.

come on you spurs - the fight for top 4 starts now. villa, fulham, charlton, sunderland - we must aim for 12 points to prove we are not in a false position.
lennon to give j lloyd samuel a nightmare, then repeat that against bridge to leave him wishing he had joined us.
my team against villa

robinson
kelly
dawson
king
lee
lennon
jenas
carrick
routledge
defoe
keane

no davids ? maybe not, but 2 lightning quick wingers to scare the shit out of the full backs !

Nil-nil looks to me like 2 points dropped but thanks to the toffees, even if arse*** win their game in hand (IF) we're still a point ahead so the result ain't that bad.
Played well, had all the posession and couldn't score. Sound familiar?
I'm begining to wonder if a top drawer striker is a bigger priority than anything else.
With Tainio & Davids out injured it'll be interesting to see if Huddlestone stands alongside Carrick next game. Love to see it. And Zeigler at leftback? I read somewhere that he was brought back to cover for Lee. That's where he played for Hamburg. 8 games played as sub by the way Cheshunt yid. No starts I'm lead to believe.

Go on the Spurs!

Went to the game today, dissapointed we didn't pick up all 3 points but their keeper had a blinder. Everton beating the scum was great but 6 points clear would have been better.

Thought Keane was lively especially the first half, defence was solid, Robbo nothing to do.
Just wished Lennon had received the ball more, he's truly awesome.

On the journey home heard a lot of chat on the radio about Defoe and his 'attitude'. Can't understand why he seems to getting alot of stick? To be fair to the lad, he probably isn't as sharp as you would like but i thought he played ok. Also i haven't seem him get in a huff or throw a tantrum (minus the corner flag incident) so why is everyone questioning him.
Rasiak is still shit.

Our next 5 games make nice viewing and are, on paper anyway, winnable. I expect us to get at least 11 points, hopefully 15. Blackburn on their current form is imo our hardest game but at home i can't see us losing. Fulham are a team we should not lose to either H or A and i fancy us to reverse our bad recent record against them.

Ha Ha Ha....Portsmouth...Ha Ha Ha

Bring on the 'Cottagers'!!

I also think it's a case of band wagon-jumping when people criticize Defoe for his attitude. He tried, and WANTED to win today, but obviously was not as sharp as he may have been had played more in the last couple of months...Also understandably, he seemed to lack a bit of the confidence required for a striker. A couple of months earlier he would have tried to take the goalkeeper on himself when he was through on goal, instead of passing to Keane as he did today.

I feel Jol has made a mistake by keeping Defoe on the bench even after he came on as a late sub v P'mth and B'ham and scored good goals. Defoe is probably not mature enough as an individual to be given such treatment. There's a risk of repeating the Mendes situation here - a good player being wasted for no specific reason...

Ok either I know nothing about football management or Jol doesn't have a shred of common sense. Am I being unfair??

Here we are trying to qualify as high up as we possibly can, we suddenly have a bit of an injury crisis in midfield, and were already suffering from lack of cover on the left hand side. OK.

THEN, we RE-CALL our promising 20-year old Left winger/Left Back Reto Zeigler from Germany where he ISN'T getting any games.... and wait here's the good part... we then proceed to LOAN him out again, to... wait... one of our closest rivals in the table - also chasing a european spot. >>> WHAAAAAT??? HUH?? <<<<

AM I BLOODY MISSING SOMETHING???!!!

He must have had a row with the coaching staff, cos otherwise I can't see how he could not be welcomed back with open arms, and assurances about how much he'll be involved in the remainder of the season....

**RANT OVER, FEEL MUCH BETTER NOW**

(I hope the spurs coaching staff read these forums! Prob not...)
