a brilliant performance by spurs. carrick was outstanding - the best player on the pitch by a mile. to dominate a so called european force for 70 minutes, proves how far we have come on this season. to be as gutted for not winning as well, shows just how much our expectation levels have risen.
european football through league placing is a tremendous achievement, be it champions league or uefa cup - heres hoping the former and stuff the idiots like oliver holt who say we are not ready and will do an everton.
if arsescum deserve to 'grace' the CL, where does that put us after playing them off the park for 70 minutes ???

The fact the injury to Eboue and Gilberto was self-inflicted has nothing to do with it, and you know it. True, you were superior in the first half -- at least your chances were better. But that also is irrelevent. You damn well know Carrick or Davids should have put the ball out. There's a certain etiquette when it comes to injuries. All that matters is winning huh? Just a word on the whole playing an under strength Arsenal side. Spurs were playing without their outstanding Captain Ledley 'the' King, our regular central midfielder and england international Jermaine Jenas, Mido let alone having to midfielders in Davids and Tainio who are carrying knocks. But this was not mentioned by the spurs as we get on with the job in hand, no excuses, no kop outs. COYS

Wenger again is showing his underhand tactics to deflect bad coverage of his team. His side were outplayed for much of the match but low and behold it was down to bad play rather than another side being the better team on the day. This way he diverts focus from his players performance preserving morale and confidence for their mid week european game, but bringing the game into disrepute once again. His players were play acting at home as usual to gain advantage, when it didn't work they threw the rattle out the pram. Pride of English football? I think not. Sadly their conduct and behaviour does not reflect their ability on the pitch. Accept the result graciously, but theres as much chance of that happening as Wenger playing a home grown player - Zero.

Just a couple of quick points but:
Eboue and Gilberto weren't injured. Gilberto got up and Eboue just decided to have a lie down. Why should Spurs but the ball out if there is no injury (and there wasn't);
Lehmann should have been booked for his reaction;
Arsenal were completely outplayed for most of the match and were very luck to scrape a draw;
How many times has Wenger said that he didn't see something? Hypocritical twat, with Henry, Pires and others leaving he'd better get used to losing;
Aaron Lennon should go to the world cup, he gets better and better every game.

One point which I think has gone unnoticed today. Hats off to Edgar Davids for todays display, after coming in for criticism in recent weeks. He battled like no other, showed passion and guile.. and on top of that had an assist. Let alone getting up the Arse players and fans backs. Arsenal are terrible losers. You can see Carrick watch the ref when he watches the two Arsenal players on the ground. The Ref turns bak to face play as if to say play on. Why should Carrick have put the ball out? If the ref had blown the whistle fair play but he obviously thought it was not an injury.
Fact of the matter is that Arsenal should have played to the whistle and didn't.
And spurs tore them a new hole. Spurs played a blinder without their best players (Jenas, King, Mido) and deserve to finish above a very inconsistent and poor Arsenal.
COME ON VILLAREAL...do us all a favour and dump the gooners into the UEFA cup.

Lets be honest there are so many play actors in all teams who cheat the fans by going down over the most minor of knocks. Look at any amateur football. You don't see players falling down all the time like a bunch of tarts do you? No players do it to for tactical reasons and to stop the rythm of play especially if the opposition are pressurising. I see it all the time in div 1 games and its pathetic. Good on Spurs - the Arse players were'nt injured so whats the problem. If more teams play on it just may stop all the cheaters.
