Gilberto done

Gilberto's rather long transfer has been completed tonight. Excellent sources on COYS and SO reckon the signing is done. The medical stuff from earlier was used to either reduce the fee or shorten the contract he wanted, or so the rumors say lol - could be rubbish of course.

Now we need a last minute striker lol.

COYS!

David villa my arse, what a crock of bullshit, and letting Defoe go when were in the right shit in the league is bollox, we'd get the same fee in the summer so why rush it?, if Berbs or robbie get injured were fecked big time, plus we wont have berbs come next season so..... Comoli is a waste of space, shift him altogether.

Its not as bad as you think.... atm Defoe is a 4th choice striker

So why not give Pekhart or Dixon a go

Ramos is already looking in that direction......brought O'hara to the fore....

Yep david villa isn't coming to spurs i agree mate, more last day jinks by the gooners on us, and £9m for JD is the fecking joke of the season, £10m for curtis davis, £9.8m for ashley young,£16.5 for bent and we let him go for buttons, what real pratts our directors are, villa or city or newcastle wouldve paid £15 in the summer

Dixon is hardly ever fit, but i agree with you about giving them a go, but when your in the semis of the uefa cup and our strikers are crocked, then what, put the youth boys in........., we could easily have sold JD for much more in the summer when a bidding war would have pushed his price way up

We wouldnt have made defoe captain the other day if we intended getting rid, however if we were to sell I wouldnt be surprised if it was because we have someone else lined up! You never know bigger surprises have happened than David Villa going to spurs and Valencia arent exactly a club moving in the right direction! I personally feel Defoe is overated, he does little else other than score the odd rare goal here and there and everything has to be played to his feet!

"Gilberto will fulfil his contract at Hertha which expires at the end of the current season after all. The Brazilian international midfielder was on the verge of moving to the Premier League side Tottenham, after undergoing a medical in London on Sunday, but the Spurs have sent him back to Berlin in mysterious circumstances. Gilberto is expected to arrive in Berlin on Thursday."

That is from the Hertha Berlin site that doesn't need translating as the site has an English option. That was as of 21:00. He IS NOT COMING!!

This is from the Hertha site without english translation:

And after Google translates it:
Berlin - Surprising turn in the case of Gilberto. Had the Brazilians still on Thursday morning said that because of a problem at the second medical check in Tottenham modified contract offer not to accept the Englishman, Gilberto has summarily decided otherwise. Well wishes of the 31-year-old but in the Premier League. Also on revised terms.

Whether Hertha BSC the sense of change will agree, depends on whether a short-term agreement with a substitute for Gilberto to be achieved. Until 24.00 pm would be time. We keep you up to date.

£9m represents great buisness sense to me for a soon to be out of contract overated benchwarmer and those moaning about the way hes been treated need to realise he has been payed loads and been given many oppotunities and has disappointed, his only reason for staying hasnt been his love for the club but his desire to remain in london. He showed what a loyal player he is by what he did to west ham, trust me if the right offer had come in for him hed have done the same to us!

I do wish you lot would leave it with the Defoe stuff.

I mean honestly, dont you understand contracts?

He had ONE YEAR LEFT! That means in the summer he would be worth LESS than now. £9million is GOOD business.

He has the same manager as Sol Campbell and would not have thought twice about doing the same thing as him and going on a free at the end of next season.

Honestly, muppets!

And if either Keane or Berba got injured then Bent (Yes, Bent who scored 19 goals last season)would come in. And if we needed anyone else then Taraabt could play behind a main striker or Malbranque!

God. I give up.

...reckon we'll have another signing before nights out. Wouldn't seriously offload Defoe without someone else lined up. Would we??

I was right in saying HE WASN'T COMING! I'm a Hertha Berlin fan therefore he was 'going'. Haha

Are you going to tell me what striker is coming in then because we need four and we have 3. And no, Peckhart isn't the answer yet.

Hello to all true Spurs fans.
First of all i would like to say that i am extremely happy that we sold Defoe - a muppet who is well known with his girlfriend instead of his abilities.
Both Gunter , Woodgate and Hutton are
an excellent players plus Giberto who play for Brazil.
Ramos will win 2 trophies this season , and i hope next season we will win the title , because if i have to say honestly ,Premiership is like a circus , Manchester United are extremely weak club , but all the refs are bought by them , so when you play against them you need more than luck. Arsenal is well known as FA favorite club ,i expect soon or later all the dirty things to be revealed , and i dream for the day when i will watch them in Championship , like Juventus in Seria A. Liverpool is another looser type of club , so they will never be our rivals under the reign of Juande Ramos.Chelsea is the greatest jock of the English football. The club owned by the mafia , even Lampard mentioned this in his last interview , so this club is dead for me , it is a question of the day when Abramovich will bankrupted. So , the future is really really bright.Evenmore we have chance to do double this season , we had a chance for treble , but .......you know , McDonald United .. it's impossible for the refs to show red card to Patrick Evra .... Anyway.... Come on you Spurs!!! Spurs till i die !
